🦕 Nigersaurus – The Mesozoic Lawnmower 🦕

Meet Nigersaurus taqueti, one of the most unique dinosaurs to ever walk the Earth. This gentle giant lived around 110 million years ago in what is now Niger, Africa. Unlike the towering long-necked sauropods we usually imagine, Nigersaurus had a short neck, a lightweight build, and one of the strangest mouths in dino history.

Known as the “Mesozoic Cow”, it grazed low to the ground, cropping plants like a prehistoric lawnmower.

Its jaw was packed with over 500 replaceable teeth, constantly cycling in new ones as old ones wore down.

Despite its odd appearance, Nigersaurus was a peaceful herbivore that thrived in lush floodplains.

Scientists consider it one of the quirkiest sauropods ever discovered.
