After more than 300 hours, I think I can share my opinion here


As for the feeling of golf, the gameplay, the simulation...
The frustration when a chip doesn't work, the joy when the pitch is close. It's incredible. I play golf myself in real life and it's just fun. It's exactly what you're looking for. Believe me.
Probably the best simulation on the market today.

But!!!

And here we unfortunately come to the point why I feel compelled to warn you. We all love good games. Games where we pay a lot but get a lot more in return. Games where we escape reality. A short break in a fast-paced world.
But for us Steam players, this game is not playable. Unfortunately! Once you're on the pitch, it's great.

But until then. Do you like error messages when entering matches? Waiting 5 minutes in menus that don't load? I can't remember how many error messages I've seen when joining events. Honestly, I can't remember. I love golf so much, but searching for a rank match 40 times just to finally find one? (we're not talking about missing players, it's the menu that hangs). Man friends, it's so annoying. I can't even tell you.



Every patch you have hope... Really. You think it's getting better. But it gets worse. Unfortunately, I've played through the season a few times. Unfortunately, not for the fun. Oh that's what did it! But the more items you get (clubs, pants, shoes etc) the longer the menu loads. And we're talking about AI/NPCs matches in the career. But it loads indefinitely. Every click in the menu is 5 minutes. It's wild.

I still give it a few stars, but unfortunately I can't recommend this 2k25. It is simply unplayable for the price as a Steam player. The support doesn't respond to anything. Steam Community etc. You can forget 2k's own bug report page.

(My PCs stats are not. No reason to write everything down, but believe me, it's enough performance for the game)
