Rainbow Six Siege is a fantastic game overall. It has its flaws (some glitches and minor imperfections), but it is truly one of a kind. DLC is free, and new operators are relatively easy to unlock. Unless you simply cannot, and will never be able to afford the full version, I would strongly reccomend not buying the Starter Edition. You start out with two random operators, and are given enough money to buy two more basic operators, or one DLC operator. However, the prices of all operators are increased astronomically. The starting price for a basic operator in the full version is 500 renown for the first operator from each group, and increases up to 2000 for the final operator. In the Starter Edition, every starting operator costs 12,500 renown. You could buy almost half of the operators in the game with that much renown if you had the full version. I got the Starter Edition on sale for around 8$. It was worth it because I am able to play the game for a drastically lower price, but I plan on saving my money to buy the full version eventually. If you have the money for the full version, do not hesitate to buy it. If you only have enough for the starter edition, save your money for a while (unless it is on sale for a great deal). Overall, R6S is a fantastic and unique game with great controls and amazing developers who listen to the community and fix major problems, but stay away from the Starter Edition.
