I legitimately hate MOBA and BR games to the point where I refuse to play them even if my friends are talking my ear off about playing with them. For some unexplainable reason I absolutely love this game!
Way simpler than LoL/Dota2, practically no queue times and gameplay that is satisfying and addictive.
Soloing is kinda ♥♥♥♥, but that is to be expected. If you have friends who wanna play with you then by all means, give it a shot, it's good fun!

Initial quick impressions from playing 2-ish hours in the PvE only mode:

Solid base to build upon, performance on my low-midish PC isn't the greatest but it's okay. Haven't played around too much with the settings just yet so I'm sure that there are things I can fix for more FPS.
Movement seems floaty and it feels kinda weird not to be able to strafe and run at the same time.

Visually I do like this game more than it's competitors, guns also feel good to use.

The NPC AI in this game is a wild gamble, most of the time they're absolutely harmless human loot containers who don't pose a threat to you, but every now and then some of them remember that they're supposed to kill the players and transform into actual threats.

Also, this may just be because my IQ's lukewarm but I couldn't find a push to talk key anywhere in the settings, which is kinda annoying.

All in all, solid foundation, will be a great game down the line. Is it worth it at the moment? Depends entirely what you're looking for. Is it polished and without flaws? Hell no. Am I having fun with it? Absolutely.

Alrighty, so one of my top-5 games of all time is Stardew Valley, just like SW this is a game developed by one single developer. The comparisons don't quite stop there though, as both games share a lot of similarities. You're farming, fishing, foraging, fighting (or hunting rather) wildlife, building a town and interacting with the different characters of the game. And just like SW, I've fallen in love with this game.

I'm going to refrain from writing a way too long review 'cause I want to get back into the game, but the short and simple, if you're a fan of any of the following games (Stardew Valley, Littlewood, My Time At Portia, Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest Builders and Minecraft to some extent) then I believe that you're also gonna get hooked and enjoy your time with this game. Dinkum feels like it took the best aspects of all the previous mentioned game and plonked them down into the Australian outback. One significant advantage that Dinkum has over the other games is that (as far as I have played, I may be wrong) it hasn't got any kind of time limits that stress you out. It's truly a very calming and relaxing time. This game will feel grindy if you're trying to get as many inhabitants on your island as fast as possible though, so my advice would be to just take it easy and do whatever you feel like during each day, not playing with the mindset that you need X amount of Dinkies (can't remember what the currency is called) by the end of it.

Now, I'm only 10-ish hours into the game so I don't quite know how much content it has to offer at present time. My only complaints about the game would be that the camera can feel quite wonky at first, personally i got used to it after some time but it was certainly a bit frustrating at first. I haven't found a ton of customization options in the way of clothing/hairstyles/accessories for my character either, but it is possible that I haven't gotten far enough into the game to discover them at this point.

If you like any of the games I mentioned earlier in this review then do buy the game, you're going to have a great time!

One of the best sandbox games that I have ever played, Kenshi is set in an unforgiving world that'll do everything to mutilate and murder your belowed characters in various ways. You are not special in any way when you start a new game, your stats all blow and even the weakest of animals can tear the limbs off your body. There is no big quest to complete either, you decide your own fate entirely. Want to be a lone thief, wandering from settlement to settlement sneakily stealing anything that isn't nailed to the floor? Or maybe you want to start your own town, away from the various nutjobs that occupy the other outposts in the game? Perhaps you even want to create a band of fierce raiders, assaulting everyone who dares to walk post your base and stealing all of their precious loot? You can do all that, and there are several other options for you to choose from. Just don't expect the game to give you the reason for playing this game, or even holding your hand throughout the journey. (May update this review to be more in depth, way too lazy for that at the moment).

TLDR: Great sandbox game, as long as you don't need any narrative.

Dev took the cash earned in 2016 and left the building. Fairly lackluster idle-game, absolutely not worth the price.

Interesting concept that falls flat on it's arse due to heavy reliance on P2W mechanics, a company who seems to give no f***s at all about customer support and a community that makes both LoL's and DotA's communities look like the most helpful and friendly communities in the world.

Stay clear of this broken mess of a game.

I'm really into management/sports game and I'm an avid enthusiast of MMA and other Martial Arts. Thus I figured that Punch Club would be an excellent game for me. And it was, for the first hour.

It started out promising, sweet lil' retro vibe, a ridiculous storyline and a balance between earning enough money to get by and shredding you chraracter so that he'll rise in the rankings of the various fight leagues. Even though you have minimal control over the fights due to the game's combat system, I was enjoying myself.

And then the novelty wore off. Stats required an insane amount of experience to level up and despite fine-tuning my stats and my attacks, some enemies who had far worse stats than me would kick my butt and send me into several days of injury and massive stat decay. The game wasn't fun anymore, it was straight up rage-inducingly frustrating. I'm aware that there's going to be a 2nd Punch Club game this year and I sure as hell hope that the devs listen to community feedback and fix those incredibly frustrating aspects of the game, because Punch Club has a lot of promise, the sheer amount of RNG and mindless grinding makes it really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unenjoyable to the point that I uninstalled it in sheer frustration due to me losing a fight I should've easily won.

TLDR: Promising game, fun aspects, vast amounts of RNG and grinding makes it an incredibly frustrating experience.

5/10.

My first experience with RimWorld!

First hour of play

Decided to start off by enabling permadeath mode, since I want my ♥♥♥♥-ups to actually punish me. Get 3 decent colonists, find a nice location, everything fine so far!

2nd hour
Got a very primitive base set up, survived the first raid consisting of one drugged-up raider with a shoddy club. She was easily dispatched of. A 4th colonist named Donovan arrives, his skill in growing enables me to grow Healroot. This is looking better and better!

3rd hour

A stockpile for food with proper refrigeration is set up, several workshops created, built a spacious rec-room with a chess and a billiards table and several plantpots, refurnished the bedrooms in order to increase their size due to complaints from colonists. First harvest of corn and potato is harvested and stockpiled, the colony can now survive the winter season. At this point and time I confident, my base defenses have been fortified and food is plentiful. Even managed to build a specific section for medical needs. As I am caught up in my planning for further expansion, I fail to notice a rogue boomrat that apparently snuck into my rec-room. This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rat is quite hungry apparently, as it collapses on the floor. Seconds later it dies in a decent-sized explosion that sends fire all across the room. Which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the fact that my entire base is built out of wood. Panic spreads in the colony, only two colonists are able to fight fire and one of them quickly dies due to the house burning too fiercly. The other one retreats outside. The death of the first colonist, Collins, sends his trusty labrador into a rage-fit and the mongrel decides to attack my sleeping colonists. It shreds the throat of two colonists before it makes it's way outside, shame that those two were the only ones armed with guns. My last colonist manages to vanquish the foe before passing out due to her wounds.

4th hour

My last colonist is unconscious outside of the base, which now looks like a reinactment of a scene straight out of Dante's Inferno. A lonely raider decides to pop by, destroys the solar panels for some reason before he decides to kidnap my wounded colonist. He picks her up and runs away with her. And so ends the tale of New Haven, a mighty encampment defeated by a single hungry boomrat. I don't know if I should laugh or cry so I grab a beer and decide to create a new colony.

TLDR: Don't let hungry boomrats into your base which is built out of wood, it will end in fiery doom and hilarity!

100/10.

Bought this pack to support the developers even further!

It's content are quite nice, the 10% exp boost is much appreciated by my friends who I usually play with and the Goblin Throne mount looks hilarious. The gold chests are a nice bonus, as pointed out by others they can be accquired for way cheaper through the store though but they weren't quite the reason to why I bought this pack.

If you're looking for a pack filled to the brim with content then this may not be for you, but if you want to support the developers and pick up some neat stuff to go along with it then I recommend getting this pack!
