An awesome combo of the good parts of SMT and Persona, HAVING AN ABSOLUTE BLAST WITH IT

- More complex SMT-like combat, punishing of mistakes and satisfying when you're correctly handling the situation
- Cool synergies between party's equipped archetypes
- Your companions can be whatever archetype you want AND can switch between them
- Hours long story dungeons
- Stuff to work on outside combat
- Great soundtrack and stylized menus
- YOU'RE NOT IN HIGHSCHOOL
- Instant retrying of fights by pressing a button
- If enemies are lower level, battles are fought in the overworld and resolved in a few seconds
- THE STORY DOES NOT HAVE ANY HIGHSCHOOL STUFF!!!

And yea it looks bad and runs inconsistently on the Steam Deck but it looks absolutely fine on a 4k tv with 200% render scale.

As a very much a casual in ARPG games, I can say I definitely enjoyed and had a lot of fun playing this game!

I played a Marksman in 0.8 and a Druid in 1.0.
As a person that likes to figure out builds themselves, I found that the skill trees and the passive system are not too complicated and it's pretty intuitive to figure out what would combo well for a specific build.

Passive respeccing is pretty much free, it costs just a bit of gold to return a point so you can experiment freely. Skill tree wise it's slightly more involved as you can lose a few skill points you need to regrind if you want to try something else in the tree or select another skill to use its tree but don't let that stop you trying out what you'd think would be cool!

The combat itself is pretty satisfying and chonky.

While I haven't really reached the end game as at this point I'm quite satisfied with how my character turned out (it's pretty much just hunting for better gear now), my builds managed to reach the half way point of normal monoliths and could probably go further.

So yeah, definitely had fun with it so far, I would definitely try out a new class in the future :D

PS: the servers have been behaving well for the last few days at least
