Early Access Review
One of the best games for automobile simulation.

With the ever-growing official mod repository, you will find at your disposal a plethora of near limitless content. Get the ones which suit your taste; your play style. Marvel at the handling model; the physics engine, unanimously praised by sim racers. Invest tons upon tons of hours into setting the best time trial records; orchestrating the perfect stunt runs. Or indulge in the simpler pleasures of going out for a leisurely cruise in your favourite vehicle.

But what if getting a game to just drive cars isn't your thing? You could too revel in the act of senselessly bringing destruction upon them. Crashing cars and watching the chassis twist, the parts break off in a way which faithfully mirrors what would happen in real life, is something that has never failed to entertain a large portion of the player base.

Another aspect which is overwhelmingly impressive yet hardly spoken of, is the vehicle customisation. Almost every part is removable and exchangable for aftermarket alternatives (again, there is a lot more to be found in the form of mods). Add a comprehensive tuning system including but not limited to suspension, gearing and differential adjustments, and you have all that you need for assembling that exceedingly coveted, fully personalised dream car, be it a time attack beast, a utilitarian workhorse or a glittering showpiece.

And with the developers still churning out patches, new content and even overhauls of the game engines 6 years after the initial release off Steam, BeamNG,drive indeed has quite the long life to lead.

Excellent force feedback and physics. One of the most satisfying racing sims out there.

Very disappointing.

Not being able to create your own team, buy your own cars (like in the first Grid), had made this game meaningless. You are nothing more than a driver racing cars you neither picked nor own, for a team that's not yours. You have no stake, no affection with whatever you're doing at all. That drains away all the motivation to pick this game up and race again.

And if you're saying that the racing expereince is all that matters, then I can name at least 5 other games which do that equally well, and on top of that, give you a sense of belonging to your beloved cars.
