Putting the terrifically proper guard forms and striking animations of the weapons aside, I am incredibly impressed with flow and technicalities of the game: Not only are simultaneous hits (and the lockout time allowed for strikes of such hits) accurately counted, flesh-wounds that don't apply enough pressure (like 500g for foils in modern fencing) allow the match to continue. The large cherry on top is that these nicks actually place wounds that affect the characters, such as a limp in the leg. Amazing attention to detail showing genuine quality and craftsmanship for a duelling game. Hellish Quart shouldn't go unnoticed by anyone with the interest in sword combat, whether to watch or play, and wonder at its authenticity either way.

Whenever the internet is out or I'm on a long bus ride home, Risk of Rain is the go to game for me. It's fast, fun and engaging any time I need something to keep me entertained.
