pretty good dark souls-inspired game in general but has a few weaknesses.

if you are not willing to super try-hard, you will probably stay on ranged attacks, since the combat is very punishing.
But staying on ranged attacks makes this a little dull and too easy.

The way that the dodge-roll is also parry is a pretty cool idea, but it's so hard to pull it off.
Animations are hard to read at times. And u can rarely use the map to your advantage which also makes it hard to use close range combat.
In the end the combat and the game doesn't feel so much like dark souls and more like a bullet hell game.

Also, I didn't like the nintendo-styled controller layout, but its ok.

The level-up system is not annoying which is often the case in souls-likes (thinking about Salt n Sanctuary).
And the inventory has a cool design i haven't seen before.
The way the mana recharges is pretty cool and makes you switch between stamina and mana based attacks.

klei is kinda overhyped

I enjoy their endless mode. Fair, hard, skill based, but not too hard.

the story is kinda annoying and boring and interrupts the game play.
the tutorial is kinda useless and unskippable. so play the tutorial and then go infinity mode (endless)
