Electronic super joy is a fantastic platformer.

Electronic Super Joy is the platformer that all other platformers should take notes from.
It's controls are the most fluent I've ever played in a PC platformer game. You go the way the you want to, and you always feel like it's your fault and not the controls in the countless deaths you will encounter. It's very easy to know where your character stands out, and the controls allow for no mistakes on your end.

This brings me to the point that this is also the hardest platformer I've ever played, probably even the hardest game I've ever played. Your jumps need to be timed perfectly, your attack smashes need to be right on your enemies, and you need to dodge the countless amounts of projectiles on your screen at once. If you make a single mistake, it will most definitely result in your death.

It's very unique in many ways. the main reason is that this game has most convoluted ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ confusing hilarious story ever. I have no idea what is going on the whole time. It's something about you losing an arm and on your quest to find your butt. There are also random orgasmic sounds in the game for some reason. Secondly, this game has an art style that you don't see in many games. The background is a single color with strobe lights going around the screen and everything else is black and white except for the lights, which can be any color. It's art style is very calming.

The music score in this game really puts up the epic mood. The electronic music is very intense and gives you a feel of badassery in what you are doing in game. There is also quite a bit of variation in it. It's just hard to find it when you repeat the same section of a game multiple times.

The level design is pin-point perfect, the jumps are spaced out perfectly, the obstacles you have to go past are put in the exactly right position, so patience and preciseness are key in game. There are certain parts in a level that will speed you up and let you go past larger obstacles, and there are certain parts that let you fly and grab keys out of the air. Fantastic.

Electronic super joy is one of the best games I've ever played, it's unique, fun, varied, challenging, and overall a masterpiece of a game.

I've got a bunch of time on a game with only two buttons and such a simple idea. But the way that idea was enacted was very, very well made.

One finger death punch is a Fast-Paced Action game where enemies come at you from both sides. The enemies are not always the same though. There is the normal gray 1 punch, 1 kill enemies, but there are also colored enemies that will take multiple attacks before they are finally taken down. You have special attacks in a cooldown system which requires you to kill enemies to put them to use. there are also weapons that are occasionally dropped by enemies waiting for them to be picked up or used in a special way. There are sword type weapons that give you extra range to hit enemies, but there are bows and daggers that are ranged attacks, and a ball of death that you punch multiple times to take out enemies. The game is easy to learn but difficult to master.

As a PC gamer, graphics are important to me, but considering this is an indie dev, I could let a little bit slide. The graphics are definitely far from impressive, everything is 2d figures that contrast from where you are in the game, and all the sprites are just colored stick-figures. Other than that, the animations are very flashy and impressive. There are multiple fighting styles which changes the way your stick-figure looks like when he fights, and is very satisfying when you amputate an enemy with a weapon.

There are multiple game-modes but after the while they start to feel very repetitive, but thanks to the learning curve, they are always challenging.

One finger Death Punch is a great game with a few problems, but are very overlooked to it's flawless combat and satisfying weapons

For it's price, this game deserves a 9/10

Before you critique my playtime, i have played most of this game offline, so the hour counter did not add up.

Now, if you are going to get ROTT, you should know that a very big part, and most likely the biggest part and most enjoyable experience is multiplayer. I will do seperate evaluations of each section in the game.

Singleplayer: Rise of the Triad is and old school FPS, which means that you will see a lot of fast movement and frantic combat, and it is ROCK HARD. the main problem with the combat is the weapons. The weapons are overall pretty weak and bland, there are not even many diverse special weapons, which is really a staple to have in games like this.. The AI is not very good, they mostly move in a certain area, and don't have advanced cover systems or anything to offer the game more challenge. The level design is very strong in this game, with jump pads and teleporters and many things like that, very old school.

The graphics on this game are not too bad, but the textures could have used some work, blood effects need some polishing, and some animations should be smoothed out.

The story of this game is almost non-existent, just a little comic at the start and not much else to offer, the dialogue made me laugh quite a bit, even though, it is repeated many times. The powerups in some places are hilarious, some can get you drugged out. Some can make you bounce around uncontrollably, it really is awesome.

Multiplayer:
The Multiplayer is much like any arena shooters that were ever made. It consists of decent sized maps, random weapons and armor sitting on the ground, lots of routes to go find your enemies in.

Like the singleplayer, all the weapons, other than the special weapons are very weak and don't really pack-a-punch, but the drops are frequent, and using a gun like a pistol instead of an RPG would sound ridiculous, they allow you to choose from many skin models.

The Combat is frantic and intense, but is set off by the weapons

Verdict:
+Great Comedy
+Frantic Combat
+Old School
+Powerful Special Weapons
+Great Multiplayer
+Funny dialogue
=Rock Hard
-unbalanced weapons
- Non-Diverse Arsenal
-Atrocious AI
-Needs polished graphics.

This game is not worth it for casual- or hardcore- modern gamers, but for hardcore old-school gamer, it's a must buy.

Early Access Review
I built a wood shelter with a door for someone with weapons and armor. Next thing i did was bolt out of the house, close the door, and wait for a day to pass, the man was starving and dead the next morning, i looted all his stuff, and created the Christian Bale clan. We went into war with the Tuna's and wiped out their race. I looted all their stuff for myself, killed my clan, and took territory

Little did i know, my clan organized a group to kill me, they went in screaming like native americans, came into my tower with pump-action shotguns and cloths over their heads. They killed me, looted everything, and left.

10/10, would buy again.

Now, i just want to start out by saying, the PC port in this game is awful, if you have a console, you should get it there, but if texture rippling doesn't bother you, than let's get started.

Rage is a very great breath of fresh air for FPS games, It blends in nice open levels inside the overall world design of the game. You can have up to 4 weapons equipped at times, and they all feel powerful and immensely satisfying, They have complex recoil movements and different weapons are used for different situation. It's FPS aspect is fun, frantic, and intense, though you will be finding yourself covering behind objects a bit too frequently.

The Graphics are very well done, the objects and everything looks good in the game, but you may need some help from mods to get rid of the texture rippling.

The story is the weakest point of this game, as you play the game, it is backed up by either way too generic characters, or promising ones that you barely get any dialogue from. Even though the world is somewhat decent in size and filled with crowds. It felt rushed and unfinished, and put together at the last second.

But, the game is good overall, i never usually put scores on games, but since this review is a bit crazy, i would give it a 7.75/10

I am going to be honest here, this is one of my favorite games of all time. I don't usually go past 100 hours on games, but i did with this one. The amount of side quests and factions and everything you can do in this game is the most immersive experience i have ever had.

Pros
Great Gameplay
A plethora of Weapons, armor
A massive amount of quests
Lots of replayability
Full mod support
Large player progression
Great Art Style

Cons
Combat system is a bit clunky
Graphics are aging on the old engine.

For anyone who likes anything. This game is very doom-like. It is filled with very fast-paced action, out of the park graphics and a somewhat captivating story. I don't want to make this go on for too long, so let me point review this
10/10: Gameplay
7/10: Graphics
8.5/10: Story
9/10: Sound

Good for people who like counterstrike and COD, gets a little bit repetitive after a while, though.
