Good writing, enjoyable combat systems.

if you like metroidvanias or hollow knight, then this is a sure thing.

Modernizes a game that I'd always wanted to play, but was put off by how old and outdated many of the core controls were. This version is fully playable by 2023 standards, but doesn't completely forsake it's old school feeling.

I don't feel like this game has any thought put into the difficulty curve. I made it to the first "boss" within maybe 20 minutes with my only deaths being to obstacles/falls. Suddenly I'm dead 30 times in a row to the same boss. I really hope this isn't indicative of how other "movement shooters" play out.

Pure boss fights, each one stands out from the other. Only negative is the walking sequences in-between, which cannot be skipped. Get it if you love fast paced melee combat.

The story is a bit of a mess, but the gameplay mechanics are mostly solid. Enjoyable stealth game once you spend the time figuring it out. The control scheme took a good long while to get comfortable with.

Starts off as a good platformer, turns into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ metroidvania with you backtracking through levels that are uninteresting and boring the 2nd and 3rd time through.
