Real masterpiece, 10/10. The main plot is fabulous and really touching. The visuals in each of the nine worlds are amazing and breathtaking. The side quests are very good and interesting. The gameplay is very satisfying and challenging (at least on the highest difficulty; I don’t know about lower ones). Exploration is very rewarding. If you add to this the beautiful, epic music, you get a complete product in every aspect.

If I had to complain about anything, it would be the optimization, which could be a little better (at least in Svartalfheim and Vanaheim).

Summing up, I highly recommend this title, but you should check out the previous game: God of War (2018). If you haven't had the pleasure yet, it’s worth playing, because God of War: Ragnarok is a direct sequel.

For those who come after...

This game is already one of the top games of the year. The only thing that held me back before playing was turn-based gameplay, which I hate—except in Clair Obscur. The amount of "pictos" that let you create different builds is crazy. As the cherry on top, the parry and dodge system makes combat more dynamic, which sounds weird for turn-based combat, but it somehow works really well.

The game is very well balanced in Act 1 and Act 2, but it becomes very easy—even on "Expert" difficulty—after reaching Act 3, because of the many strong builds you can create by then. The creators of the game gave us the option to make the game harder by increasing enemy HP or decreasing your damage, allowing you to customize the challenge as you wish. However, I still think they should balance Act 3 a bit better on their own.

In terms of story, graphics, music, and cinematics, it's a masterpiece. Even when I started to understand what was going on in the story, I couldn't connect the dots until the end of the game. Sometimes I was like: "Wow, did they really do that?" especially in Act 1. The plot is really complex and well-written, just like the characters in the game. The voice actors did a great job making the characters feel alive. I love the interactions between them, and I wish there were more of these moments. Damn mon ami, when you meet Esquie, you'll love this guy for sure. He's such a lovely character.

The exploration in the game is very fun, and some of the boss fights are beautifully animated. The only weird thing about this game is the price—it’s definitely too cheap. It’s a must-have in your library and a must-play for any respected gamer.

33/10.
