One of the greatest modern games for story telling, the story and characters pull at the heart strings and make you believe in "good" again.

This game has one of the most beautifully woven narratives combining writing, history, music, and atmosphere I've experienced in a long time. This is 10000% worth picking up.

This game has gone above and beyond both in being a labor of love by the devs, and being deeply loved by the community. At it's core it's a turn based combat RPG and hits all of the marks, including adapting 5e DND into something more applicable or playable to a video game setting. Very easy to get invested in, very easy to want to play again and make different choices, and very easy to love.

Timeless classic with a, in my opinion, really well done refresh to the graphics. Still holds a lot of the charm of the original, but far less pixel-y and a lot more like upgraded nostalgia.

It's not about having a good time, it's about making others have just as bad a time as you're having.

On a real level Rust can be a frustrating, tiresome, emotionally draining game. Playing by yourself in large population servers can spell disaster and spawn killing within minutes. I would definitely suggest to new players, as much as it can seem "boring" because of a lack of PVP;

*go play in smaller official and community servers!*

Learn the building mechanics, learn and get used to building decay and how many rockets it takes to blow through a base with 14 sheet metal doors. Use rustlabs.com to have easy access to a list of how many materials you need for what. Don't try to memorize everything!

How do you not recommend a less broken version of a game that has aged like fine wine.
