This is a great addition to the Armored Core series. I started playing back when 2 was released. While the game plays much faster than previous AC titles, it has also taken some clues from the negative feedback from other FromSoftware titles and dialed back some of the more challenging aspects of their combat and the boss fights. The difficulty on the game is high, but it is not insurmountable. It continues the eerie tone of being a lobotomized... I mean... augmented human AC pilot being the pawn in other corporations and organizations great games against one another. Thankfully they've made improvements to the AC parts system and have made many of the weapons and builds viable in game, and even encourage adaptation on the fly of your design mid mission. I have also spent a lot of time in the decal design mode, carefully crafting my perfect logos and corporation icons. It is a game that dishes out punishment relentlessly and allows you to do so in kind. Be your own pilot, design your own AC to your likings and your play style. Ignore "builds" and "best design" guides, there is no punishment for experimenting and seeing what suits you best. Best of luck to you Ravens out there, and welcome to Rubicon.

Darktide is what we have been waiting for in a Warhammer 40k PC game. We are an inquisitorial kill team sent in to handle the problem. We bicker, insult, and blunder our way through the hive city and all its corrupted denizens that have fallen to Chaos. It falls into the similar team based play styles of Left 4 Dead and Vermintide. Its gritty, intense, and filled with the insanity of the warp. The combat is crisp and visceral, the swarms feel threatening, as do the monsters within them. The best thing is that while friendship is magic, and magic is heresy, friendship frickin' works. You need to work with you team to accomplish mission objectives and survive the endless darktide of enemies. While you have the tools yourself to be an asset, you're gonna need backup. Each specialty class feels like it adds something to the team, but doesn't detract if you double up on one role or another, its well balanced in that regard. The weapons... oh dear the weapons... I have a lasgun. It FEELS like a lasgun. Its cheap, and battered, and busted like you'd expect a penal legionnaires lasgun to be, but DAMN if it doesn't still work and honor the emperor with most of its bolts. Its fantastic. I'm looking forward to when this finally releases. No, the game isn't perfect, but try to keep in mind the size of the development team and what they're working with. The game has room to grow and refine itself to buff out the little things that can be improved upon. I can't wait to see the depths of the customization upon full release. To the team who did it, this game is a 5/5 for me. Thank you for making me feel like a grunt in the cogs of the Imperium of Man.

This game is very close to being the classic tabletop Battletech ported over into the digital world. It is one of the best turn based games I've played in a long time and it captures the spirit of the setting. There are things you need to pick up on, research, and learn as you go along in the game to learn how the games mission difficulty works and how to keep your pilots alive. Alas poor Dekker...

First off, I am becomming a bigger and bigger fan of this game every time I boot it up and play. It is an excellent addition to the rest of the Warhammer 40K gaming titles and has a lot of great bits for all types of players. The models of the enemies, terrain, and NPCs are faithful recreations of Games Workshops and ForgeWorlds physical models. I caught myself stopping and appeciating the terrain and checked out the details on a crashed Fire Raptor Gunship. There are minor tweaks here and there on model details but they all fit and feel very authentic to the 40k setting. The combat system works well for the gamestyle, lots of customizations options, powerups, and skill management. The weapons so far sound and feel right when they're being used, and the psyker powers are equally impressive. Some are subtle, some are big and flashy, and yay for working in perils of the warp! I could easily see this setting being adapted into a mixed game tabletop campaign or roleplaying setting. The sector, details, and worldbuilding fit with the exisitng 40k narratives of similar games. There are mistakes here and there, but they're the same mistakes all writers make across GamesWorkshops history with games, novels, and additional lore building pieces.

Note to everyone reading reviews or reviewing: The Inquisitor - Martyr development team, Neocoregames, is a smaller development firm based in Hungary using a custom game engine to develop their products. They are not a triple A developer like Blizzard, Electronic Arts, or Bethesda. This should be taken into account when evaluting the game. Personally, I think they came out of the gate swinging and have done a fantastic job with this game. Yes, there are programming bugs and control issues, those exist even in the biggest titles. Its all part of the industry. The game will only continue to improve as it ages. I'm excited for more and can't wait to finish the game and keep playing with my friends.

Final thoughts: Hop on it and defend the Emperors realm inquisitor! AVE IMPERATOR! I have had it with these Emperor damned heretics, on this Emperor damned space hulk!

PAYDAY 2 is absolutely one of my favorite games of all time. I originally purchased it on the Xbox 360, upgraded to the ultimate edition on the Xbox one, and now have everything for it on PC now to play with my friends on here. Cooperation, humor, excitement, and the variety of missions make it fun. The great references, subtle story, and solid mechanics make it golden.
