Caveat: it's still early access and not all features are implemented and there's still time to make changes. Whiskerwood is fun, relaxed, albeit a bit slow and repetitive at times.
My main concern is that there's a large research tree but not much of a goal. There's no change in pace or serious events like volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, war, pirate blockades, etc.

The game is gorgeous and the challenges it poses to thrive are fun, but it seems to stop at that. There's no surprise events or goals or a narrative, which makes it feel a bit stale after a while (and I'm using the speed x20 mod). Looking forward to future updates. 👍

Wow. There's so much to unpack about versions of truth, political pressure, good & bad, justice, gameplay, content, gamedesign... Wouldn't know where to start, but this is a great attempt at exploring very dense and difficult topics. Should be mandatory in schools.

In 7h I finished all there is to do in the game.
It has some great concepts but it isn't balanced, there's no story, the strategy is shallow and there's nothing to aim for - unlocks aren't that interesting and there's not even new ways to play or an online highscore system.

It is worth the 5€ for being innovative, but it feels like a lost opportunity to create a true Balatro rival and I think the dev has decided to not bring any new updates that deepen the game, which is unfortunate. 👎

I'm writing this review to remind myself that it is pointless to play a game where there's no value in progressing.
The map is ridiculously minuscule for the type of game it is and most of it is just copies of other parts of the map.
Lots of grind, loads of text but no story, not the best combat mechanics and a really dumbed down game that has very little strategy to it - and I bought it for 8€.

11 years later the devs decided to abandon it.
