This game simply does not value your time and just spits into your face. Otherwise it is the best space sim I ever played and it is awesome. (Just look at my playtime)

Nope! It's buggy, clunky and repetitive gameplay. Generally it feels like the attempt to make a sequel to the original with as little time and resources possible. While recycling any levels or at least parts of it from the first one.

If I had bought the game for the full price I'd felt scammed. Also you can get soft locked by some sprits. Like they hit you, you fell to the ground and because Lindaaaaaaaaaaa takes so long to stand up again they meanwhile charge another attack and hit you again, you fell, you stand up, you get hit, you fell, you stand up, you get hit, you die. Repeat. Hell not even the SLR does stun them anymore so could at least buy some time.

Sometimes you hit a bug where parts of a level might get missing (eg. Walls) and you can just walk out of bound. The sound randomly disappears after reloading too.

Worst thing it does not even add up to anything of the previous game. Yeah you still play Lindaaaaaaaaaaaa! and the teacher re-appears in random cutscenes but it does not tell you anything and it does not add anything to the story of the first one. "you're trapped in the realm of mirrors" yeah ... no you're trapped in a realm of doors and the cheapest hub level ever.

Sorry for any Kickstarter backer you got scammed with this game. Idk it also feels like they spend the Money on anything but the game and a week before the deadline they where like "Oh sh*t we have to release a game" Threw together some random new sprits, recycle old ones and old levels, slap some random hub level a top with a random janitor who just does not add anything meaningful as well and called it a day. Yes he is suppose to give the player cryptic tips ... but I do not need cryptic tips on obvious things.

Hm, a room full of doors. What May I have to do?
Oh candles blow out as I banished a sprit. What might this mean?
Uh, a random black spot in the dark on one of the walls which grows with any banished spirit. This sure has nothing to do with each other! /sarcasm

This game is in any aspect worse than the previous one. The first DreadOut, holy cow what a fantastic game. But this one? Nope. I am beyond disappointed as you may already tell.

They even have an achievement for playing the game for 2h. Idk how to feel about this.
More like: "Ha your refund windows is over! Now you're trapped with this sh*tty game"
or is it more like: "Thank you for playing this game for 2h, we know it is awful yet you seem to endure. Many thanks!"

I liked the first one better. Overall the game is still okay but very linear. Not that the first one wans’t linear. But this one feels even more linear. One path to go and two leading to a “secret”. Also the voices in Senuas head are best to be describes as captain obvious. Like you enter an area there is only one thing standing out you’ve already seen it from far. The voices “There is something hidden here” no way sherlok … while “hidden” it is not. Or “There in front of you!” Yes I am already approaching it because it is the only thing here … “Will she follow the path?” Well in order to progress yes, what other choices to we have stay and do nothing because going back isn’t an option either? Idk in the first one the voice where a lot better and actually felt more inline with what Senuas might be thinking (and not repeating themselves) and where actually helpful. But in Hellblade 2 they are just annoying 70% of the time and feel like they’ve been degraded to be some sort of a tour guide. “And on the left hand side we see the most obvious thing here. It is called ‘The Obvious Thing the player has to do’. Take a picture now. “

Anyway there is not enough to complain to give it a bad rating. It’s just 80% graphics, 15% story and 5% game play.

Not a big soulslike fan. But this game is dope! Even playing it in multiplayer is awesome. Even though it makes the game significantly easier as teh support can die as often as they want and not have any drawbacks. Which is a cool feature if you want to play with someone not much into soulslike or playing their first soulslike. I played through this game like 5 times by now and I always discover something new. I like that it is open world in a way that you can travel from hub to hub back and forth. It a bit sad this game seems to be not as popular or even known. It truly is a work of passion and you feel it. Is it as obsuce as other souls likes? Yes. Do you understand the story after you played it 3 times? Probably. Which also is an interesting thing. The way you … “progress” in the story so to speak. Once you played the game you’ll understand.

Rip and tear and parry! This game is amazing and I would recommend it 10/10. (Review below, no spoilers, beside what is known form the trailers)

However the flying sections are awful. They should have had left them out of the game. The player is very limited to where he is allowed to fly. You can not explore as there will be inadvisable wall all over. Also IF you have to go deeper or higher on a map you HAVE to fly through narrow passages and can not just take the direct way. This is ridiculous. (Probably some hidden loading screen to just swap out the map or something) Actually you can remove the flying passages all together and the game wouldn’t lose anything.

The mech sections how ever oh boi! Loved it! Loved the fact you can destroy the scenery to some extend. Or to fight little tiny daemons which if encountered in the regular game are an actual fight and not just walking over them. That was a lot of fun. Also being able to finally face the titans felt goooooooooood!
