Having just fully completed the base game's content, and reached a point where all that is left is the bonus DLC, I can safely and wholeheartedly say this is one of the best gaming experiences I have enjoyed- ever. I cannot begin to describe *any* of the myriad details or aspects of the game that makes it worthwhile, as to do so will begin to spoil what makes this game special. Even still, if any of the other thousands of reviews akin to mine aren't enough to convince you- give this game a chance, and go in without *any* knowledge of any aspect of the game or what it has to offer. I can guarantee you your time and effort will not be wasted, as you will always be rewarded for your curiosity in this game. Buy it, enjoy it, watch others enjoy it, cherish it.

Early Access Review
My original review was made during the EAC introduction nightmare, however as seeing that the changes were not reverted and no changes were made in response to the backlash- I see no point in keeping my review about it up. Instead, I'll review the game as it is now.

It's... a conflicting experience, and one that needs to be lived in order to really understand it. Just as in real life, you have good and bad people in this game, and the good times definitely outweigh the bad when it comes to friends and public experiences. I've met countless people in this game and bonded over numerous topics and life experiences with too many people to count- and yet I am not in contact with most of those people nor do I remember most of them. That is the nature of this game though, you meet people and for a fleeting time you share some of your best memories with them as friends, and then weeks later you never hear from them again. Rarely do you hold onto friends in VRC and even more rarely do you routinely hang out with them- its a constantly changing and evolving scene and your story will not have permanent characters. Yet, that's how you have to enjoy this game in order to see it at its best- you find a group and hold on to your friends, the right friends, with a skeleton grip and hang out with them the most you can. Enjoying this game with friends is something that is very much so equatable to just simply... hanging out with friends IRL in social events and gatherings.

Basically, this game is a social experience and comes with all of the Pros and Cons of bearing that mantle. The good outweighs the bad, generally, however, but I must recommend that you play this game in VR if you are to step foot into it at all. If you must play it desktop? Don't. You will find yourself dropping hundreds if not thousands of dollars within the year to seductively dance with randoms in public worlds and spending an ungodly amount of hours fine-tuning your newly-purchased full-body-tracking just so you can more appropriately show off your avatar's curves while you drunkenly fall asleep surrounded by friends and randos alike- with all of your several pound pieces of gear on of course.

If you have a lot of free time and enjoy World War II history, then you'll have a great time playing this game.
