Game itself is actually really good, it's borderlands but more, and didn't make a trash fire of a story like 3.

Performance is ♥♥♥♥, however, stuttery, laggy, freezing at random for a bit, not to the point of unplayability at all but just enough to be annoying.

Randy needs to get out of his own way and get the ♥♥♥♥ off of Twitter, he's like an anti-advertisement for the game.

Spoiler free version:
This game is genuinely a fantastic game, and if you like the genre at all (Metroidvania) I would STRONGLY suggest playing. For only 20$ despite the years of work put into it, you really don't have any reason not to at least give it a shot. It's got loads of characters you will love, an interesting story, and once you get the hang of the gameplay it is an absolute BLAST.

Something to keep in mind, if you're coming from Hollow Knight the game WILL feel harder, just because it demands a bit more from you in order to keep up with the pace and fully utilize hornet's skillset. Whether you are or aren't coming from Hollow Knight, be aware that while the game is a STRONG majority fun, it will frustrate you at times. Be ready for that, don't let it dishearten you, keep trying, practicing, don't be afraid to take things slower just to get better at dodging and weaving.

Just a minor spoiler to at least save some of the frustration for later, keep in mind that the following locations are probably some of the worst areas to be in (In order of least to most frustrating) and avoid them while you can (Or at least get as strong as you reasonably can before coming back): Hunter's March, Sinner's Road, Bilewater. There's a 4th place similar to the last 2, but by the time you find it you'll probably be strong enough to handle it.

Spoiler version:

Game is fantastic, literally just the bossfights, I loved Fourth Chorus, First Sinner, Cogwork Dancers (Even with their kinda ♥♥♥♥♥ indicator), hated Last Judge at least until I realized I was taking it too recklessly, normal ending final boss was awesome and true ending final boss, while frustrating, was thematically awesome. Fighting regular lace felt good, same with phantom. Most of the enemies were pretty cool, I loved the different crests you can equip to try out different playstyles, all the tools you can mix and match to find what you're comfortable with, I loved so many of the characters, Sherma and Bell Beast my beloved <3. I liked the use of 'wishes' as basically a quest system that gave you reasons to go back to old places without feeling too contrived or repetitive. Hornet's moveset, once you started to unlock more of it, felt so fun to use and master while navigating, to the point where the path of pain equivalent was pretty enjoyable despite it being intentionally difficult / frustrating.

The big complaints I have are that in some places where it seems 'difficult', it's actually just being cruel. Three fakeout benches in some of the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ areas to go through? Really? Sure, 2 of them you can fix but jesus christ Team Cherry who hurt you? Groal the Great was an awful experience, and I don't know if it was the boss itself or the fact that the runback took forever and the area felt like bug vietnam (They're in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trees water) where the enemies just slowed the runback down even more. Also, flying ranged enemies in general just suck. Not as bad, but it's annoying when they fly as far as they can out of your reach and act like hazards you have to dodge instead of enemies you can deal with. More annoying with some later ones that will also dash back away from you when you get close, but again this is a minor gripe and probably just skill issue on my part. The 2 masks of damage thing is also pretty annoying that so many enemies get it. I feel like enemies / bosses with more complicated movesets should just have their difficulty come from having to read exactly which move they're doing next or just the fact that they have big hitboxes you gotta dodge, but you get used to it and get better at dodging

Overall, 10/10 game, very good, even the frustrating stuff wasn't enough to make me dislike it in any way

Blast of a game, really scratches that roguelike itch on top of allowing for some frankly silly combos with all the options you have at your disposal. Game does have some performance issues thanks to UE being UE, but that could be said about a lot of games. Demo was fantastic, full game brought even more than I could've guessed. My only real gripe is I wish there was a way to do longer runs / an extra stage before the final boss (Although maybe that's a modifier I haven't found?), but that's just me wanting to push the limits of some of what I've gotten while playing.

Overall would greatly recommend.

Game isn't bad necessarily but sometimes really struggles to feel good.

Gameplay loop, concept, etc all feels pretty good in the most basic sense, game just always seems to have balance issues that aren't helped by the massive disparity between high level 'pro' play and low level solo queue funsies. They've fixed a good handful of issues, such as certain killers being absurdly strong or some survivor options being get-out-of-jail free cards, but some instances are a bit bad, for example tunneling still generally being an optimal play wherever you can do it (Basically deleting one survivor from the game asap, not fun for the survivor especially.)

This game is not as much horror as you think despite all the horror icons, probably closer to a 30 - 70 split of horror - asymmetrical pvp, but still really fun and can have its moments. Overall I think I would have to recommend this game, but I do think you should at least watch it a bit from both side's perspectives, for example Otzdarva (Or 'not Otzdarva') to understand what you're getting into so you feel less hopeless and lost on your first 10 or more games.

Wish me luck, I'm reinstalling it right now for another shot at it.

Our ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ security guard went into the custom built door me (The medic) and the engineer made together that worked like an airlock, couldn't figure out the door as it filled with water, then exploded due to pressure.

10/10 game would confuse my crew-mates again.

Easily among some of the best games I've ever played and I haven't even been playing for that long. The only part that sometimes can be irritating is getting a bad streak of rng but thats common among any game with randomness to it.
