WARNING: This Game is NOT Safe to Play!
If you're buying this to play multiplayer, with random strangers, don't: It will get you hacked.

If you still want to play with trusted friends, look into the T7 Patch by Serious, on GitHub.

If you want to play the single player campaign, be aware that many people (myself included), have encountered an issue where the game will not remember your progress. This is made worse because each level has various collectibles, achievements, and progress elements that you will LOSE every time you start up the game.
Make sure the game runs in Administrator Mode, that the game folder (and associated AppData folders, if applicable) are not set to Read Only, and cross your fingers, because it hasn't worked for me, yet.

It should be no surprise that Activision charges full price for this decade-old game, whose multiplayer community moved on to the game's many sequels long ago... but it's still disgusting. Even the sale price is that of a game that just came out, not one that is a decade old, whose multiplayer audience has moved on, and is full of security holes that will get you hacked if you enter a lobby, and loses single player progress every time you leave the single player mode (to say nothing of if you leave the entire game).

If wandering through the most expansive universe you've ever seen in a game is your thing, give NMS a try.

Mine the elements you need to survive, repair a crashed ship, and take off into the vast darkness of space! Or play in creative mode, and simply build what you want at your leisure.

You can assemble small ships from a few select components, or hand build a massive corvette, piece by piece, turning it into a mobile base. Capture a pirate freighter and revamp the layout, if that's your thing.

Explore alien worlds with strange geography and stranger creatures.

Loot abandoned freighters in deep space. Weather the storm in the perpetual maelstrom of a gas giant.

Want to play solo? You can do that. Want to play among others? You'll find what is frequently lauded as one of the friendliest communities in gaming.

Go on time-sensitive expeditions, with the entire community, for cool new ships, cosmetics, multitools, build items, and so on... that won't cost you a single cent of real world money. And, if you missed a specific expedition, you'll undoubtedly get a chance to catch it again during a Redux.

Tips...
Feeling lost and directionless, read your mission log: The answer is probably in there, somewhere.

Never build a base in a hole you've dug... Build up, not down, trust me.

L4D2 is 15 years old, and people still play the heck out it.
It's less than 2 bucks, when on sale.
What more do you need to know? Go shoot some zombies!
