Really fun and interesting game.
The digging part while not knowing what you are going to find or how far down it goes is the BIGGEST fun about this game.
I'll not give anything away, because that's the premise of playing this game.
Once you finish the game, you unlock further playthroughs of the same exact thing. The only thing you get for playing again is the chance to complete 9 achievement and get little trophies you can place in your garage.
Just not enough of an incentive to replay it unfortunately.
For the price of the game, and 22hrs of play time for me, it's worth it.

Giants Software has done a masterful job yet again with their Farming Simulator 25 release.
The expansion DLC of the Highlands in Scotland with fish hatchery, fish culture production, along with new cattle species, and loads of new equipment. Just amazing work on Giants part, no matter what some people might say, they are totally worth it.

It's free, I guess that's all that is positive. There is no incentive to spend money at all in the game being it's no longer active, and some aspects of the game no longer work or available.
I would of surely enjoyed it when it was still being actively supported.
I would say just move on to their other title Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms which is basically the same game, but with even more micro-transactions for characters, chests, etc. I'm talking about lots of money.
But hey, it's free right?
Their formula for these games is meant to make you spend money to actually get somewhere. Also, this is not an idle game, you really do need to actively be doing stuff, even by spending a bunch of money to get Taskmasters to do all the clicking for every single thing the game has you doing.
Still fun if you don't mind the fact that nothing new will be added, and that they still sell items for lots of money.

For a dev team comprised of only two brothers, this is a really fun and addictive game. I don't know how they managed to do all this, because me and my brother always argue and fight with each other. lol

It's a season based game where your characters and items don't carry over at all, from what I can understand. There's a leaderboard ladder of course, as you clear areas full of monsters, collect loot, defeat bosses, and level up. There's your home fort that you build into your dream castle with many different crafting stations and shrines.
The game is a bit rough around the edges, but they are creating and fixing the game regularly.
For the price of the game, it's well worth your time.

With HS2 coming out I decided to load it up once again, and found myself playing a totally different game from the bullet-hell genre that is once was.

This is now a Diablo 2 clone, almost to a T with playstyle, item drops, runes system, and relics. You get to bring a companion and a mercenary, just like Diablo 2 amongst many other identical aspects of the games.
There are some different and interesting classes to play here though, along with custom skill trees. Also the storyline, quests, and maps are all different and interesting to play.
I am enjoying this revitalised version of Hero Siege, and now I just have to decide if I should pay quite a bit more money for different, individual classes, skins for characters and gear, keys for chests, and expansions.

I'd give this game a pretty solid score overall for being a D2 Clone, but not so great for the nickle-diming of players for single classes, cosmetic skins, and expansion DLCs. Also, I give a very big negative for the requirement of having to buy a subscription for a little house, access to trade, chat, and other things that should be included with the base game in my opinion.

I do recommend the game for D2 lovers, but not for those who dislike having to pay for every little extras, that should probably be included in a single purchase.

PROLOGUE REVIEW:

A fun and relaxing game of dinosaur fossil hunting, which brings back childhood memories of searching the local outcrops for tiny shell-like fossils left in the shale rock. I live in the Ottawa valley in Ontario, Canada which was once a large sea that left layers upon layers of sediment which became a perfect fossil producing substrate.

The Prologue gives you plenty of things to do in various areas, from the excavation site, to the museum with it's various sections for receiving, cleaning, and displaying your dinosaur finds. The Exhibition Room is where you show your dinosaurs in different poses, with decorated environments, along with the room itself.
At the end of this Prologue, you find yourself as a post graduate Paleontologist, starting out with very little prospect oF work. You help out your Grandfather to clean up his garage and make a special discovery, which ends the demo but leaves you wanting to play the rest of the game.

I know I will be purchasing the full release of the game when it's available.

POST-RELEASE REVIEW:

I'm totally enthralled with the different aspects of being employed at a local museum of Paleontology, which gains prestige as you obtain the rights to work on even more fossil deposits throughout North America, which promotes the museum to become a State Museum, followed by a National Museum.

Finding a complete set of fossils for a new dinosaur is quite exciting, including all the work associated with finding, excavating, preparing, and finally putting it up in your museum exhibitions.

You have a number of off-road vehicles to carry all your gear and supplies to a new dig site, which I find a bit difficult to operate due to the view options and the terrain. You'll have to use quite a number of tools to find and prepare your specimens for transport to the museum, including advanced technology such as drones.

Overall, the game is well done and totally worth getting if you have the slightest interest in either dinosaurs, the career field of Paleontology, as well as the outdoors type work.

This was just a logical next step for Expansive Worlds outdoor simulation games after making the two most successful hunting simulator games available.
I've played many hours of theHunter Classic and CotW, but did not play their 2015 theHunter: Primal being it is more fanciful then what I would usually consider a typical hunting simulator game.

My background as a Fish/Wildlife Mgt. graduate and Forest Officer career, I really love anything outdoors related like fishing, hunting, survival camping, etc...

I would not consider this a fishing simulator game, but more of a Park Warden Simulator game which is so very well done. The fishing aspect is good, but isn't overly complicated. In fact, it's a little too basic in my opinion, but with all the missions and jobs you can do while helping out the soon to retire Park Warden, you'll have much more to enjoy if that's of interest to you.

The Park Warden and the Shop Keeper dialogue is quite annoying unfortunately, which you'll discover quite early on. First of all, the Warden keeps calling you Buck and Buckaroo, and rambles on in what I think is English, but I'm not sure I understood what he was saying at time. lol
Now the Shop Keeper, omg she's annoying! I never in my gaming life wanted to be far enough from an NPC so not to keep hearing them talk, and she's always pestering you to 'buy something'. If I have to buy something, I do it quickly in and out, get to distance from her and THEN open my inventory to go over my stuff. That's how annoying she is to me. lol

So, there is so much stuff I could cover about the game, like all the pest control missions, photography missions, geological features that are simply awe inspiring even for a PC game, simply breathtaking.
You'll have so much fun exploring the reserve either by jeep, fishing boats, or by foot to find collectables, such as notes, old coins, lost items. You'll be keeping an eye out for things like White Pine Blister Rust, Pine Beetle, invasive plant species, petrified wood, dinosaur bones, scenic vantage points, lookout towers, and even....BigFoot tracks! Now on this topic, with all my years working in the forests in Canada from Ontario and British Columbia, I've never encountered BigFoot personally, but I've had reputable outdoors people tell me they had encounters with 'something' big, bipedal, stinky, and heart-stopping howl. It even caused one of our Forest Fire Towers being closed one summer because of such an encounter there with the Fire Lookout person posted there.

What was I talking about? Oh right, CotW: The Angler, back on topic.
YES, get the game if you even remotely like fishing, even if lacking any depth in game, or enjoy sightseeing and patrolling your very own reserve as a Park Warden.
That's all Buckaroos. Catcha Later.

Simply just more amazing underwater topography, ecology, and biology of an alien planet to explore, but this time in a cold, frozen climate zone.

If you loved the original game, this one is just as beautiful to discover and play. The events occur 2yrs after original story of Subnautica and subsequent escape of the protagonist, Ryley Robinson.

The story revolves around the new protagonist character, Robin Ayou, travelling to the same planet 4546B, but to the arctic zone Sector Zero, where your sister perished while working for Altera on a mysterious and dark alien secret. The company blamed her negligence for the death, but you will stop at nothing to find out the truth and clear your sister of any fault.

Fun, relaxing, and the one game I WISH we had 'Smell-O-Vision' PC capabilities for. Just the simple fact of 'simulating' the baking of all these desserts and dishes can trigger increased saliva glands activity, production of gastric juices, and stomach rumbling sounds.

It's also been reported that players will sometimes leave their chair mid-game, bolt downstairs, and raid the pantry or refrigerator in search of anything that is remotely related to baking and devour whatever they've found suitable.
I draw the line at eating raw ingredients, so when I can't bake something immediately, I'll just jump into my car and race to the Tim Horton store located across the street. I had tried walking through the drive-thru previously, a number of times, but they wouldn't serve me, hence why I drive the 100 feet to the store. Although, during the last of my attempts of walking in the drive-thru, the police was called, and a judge ordered I stay at least 100 feet away from the Tim Horton for 6 months. Luckily, my house is exactly 105 ft away from the store so I was able comply with the order, as long as I went right when leaving the driveway. That was a very long 6 months, even though there's another Tim Horton's a few blocks away from this one. All in all it finally worked out.

Now, you can decide what is true and what isn't in this storied game review, while I give a resounding yes in recommending this idle game that does demand some level of active play, which can maybe lead to your demise?
