pretty fun until the fireball basically covers the entire castle zone and you're left wondering who's shooting at you and where they're shooting you from?

and the fricking gnomes shouldn't drop the mushrooms that are also jumppads right in front of your base

absolutely great game with friends, but the tasks are buggy in their progression, the control scheme (radial menu) is prone to making errors, and I dunno why you can only have 1 janitor.

If you change one thing please add an option for more janitors!

There's some good in this title, but right now I don't think it outweighs the cons. If there's a sequel I'd like them to work on the QoL, because I want this game to be good!

I played about halfway through the story content on multiplayer co-op, I might update as I continue.

The good:
- Sprites and animation are the selling point. The game looks amazing.
- Online connectivity feels good. I host the games and I don't notice any issues, I would like to see if it somehow feels different if I join someone else.
- Mob combat feels good and fair. You generally know what you're supposed to be doing to succeed.
- Bosses feel good when you understand the mechanics of the fight. There are some issues (more explained in "The bad")
- Items are useful and the game rewards you for exploring shops.

The mid:
- Dialogue is whatever. Some NPCs are very grating when they appear and there's no charm. The game feels kinda schlocky on purpose but doesn't deliver on the camp well enough or the dialogue pacing hampers the delivery. The pacing during the Provie manga cutscene is pretty good actually, for example.

The bad:
- You should be able to put a marker on where you go, or have a minimap on the screen. I play the navigator in co-op sessions because finding the route to get to where you want to go feels like a chore.
- It's pretty unsafe to check your map because you're expected to clear a map of enemies before checking your phone, adding to the tedium of navigating.
- The z-axis/depth hitboxes of enemies are very thin. The social media boss is one of the worst offenders of this because of how deep the map for that boss and it's unclear when you can't land hits because you are at the wrong plane or just because the boss is phasing or otherwise invincible. There should be indicators for missing due to invuln or bad aiming somehow.
- Not being able to skip individual lines during a cutscene. The dialogue is slow and eye-rolling, but there's always a hunk of important information at the end of it, so skipping a cutscene leaves you clueless sometimes.

This is a good game for sure. Better starting experience than Vampire Survivors, appealing graphics, good music.
I haven't played too much on PC but it slows down on Steam Deck when there's a lot going on (sometimes a good thing)

I would like to see some improvements in HoloHouse, namely:
- Maybe add a small song to hit the prompts to in fishing? You can even speed up the tempo Warioware style as needed.
- Add an indicator if feeding a fan would result in wasted stamina (red bar?)

Looking forward to future updates.
