WE ARE SO BACK

Excellent game. Absolutely massive game world that is very carefully made by hand. Clearly a LOT of time and effort spent on that, and it makes for a great RPG.

Two main cons: first, it is slow to start. Second, dying in hard to access spots (which happens a lot in early access) is a real pain since the respawn is sometimes very far away. However these are minor annoyances.

Honestly can't recommend. Too unpolished, too little content.

Very, very good. The card system is deep, characters have enough moves that each has multiple possible playstyles, synergies are both implied and directly built into the game, boss fights are usually challenging but not unfair... it's been a long time since I've played a game where I can't really think of anything negative to say about it. Highly recommended.

Very poor at doing the one thing it's supposed to do: boss fights. The visual design shares colors, effects, text, etc for various purposes - it is impossible to tell what is being choreographed. Things that protect you look identical to things that you must avoid.

The text is small and also blends in with effects. This is artificial difficulty - there is not actually much hard bullet hell choreographing here, but it is hard to see the bullets.

A good boss fight should not require repeated replaying to understand mechanics. A sufficiently skilled player should be able to understand and adapt to situations without knowing them in advance. In this game, "boss fights" are nothing but remembering sequences.

"Damn, what RPG can I play that has the whole world and systems and progression, but is completely sandbox?"

It's this one.

Despite the invasive anti-cheat, there are still rage hackers all over the place, just 2 days in. Like, just running around with full aimbot, wiping out 10 people in the span of 3 seconds. Not sure what else I should have expected from a Chinese free to play FPS.

Everything good about the first game is still here, but there is WAY more content this time around. I just played 8 hours solid and I'm not within sight of the end of the game. Excellent sequel.
