So I did manage to play this on SteamOS, which while not flawless, still worked fairly well. Listening to the music and coasting around as a butterfly is fun at times, and the different wing and body skins were cute to find - including identifying what butterflies they were based on. However the Photograph Five Humans achievement was bugged for me - the woman raking near the base of the temple pathway wouldn't register no matter the resets of counts or restarts of game or handheld system, so I stopped attempting to get that achievement.

I've also tried playing with keyboard and mouse, which was a little smoother before I got the hang of it on controller. Either way, a playable game with a neat area to flap and float around, in perpetual joy that no birds, fish, or frogs ever try to eat you!

Alba was a really cute game where you get to play around with taking photos and ambling around your grandparent's small island community. The different areas and vistas are pretty, and you can download photos from your in-game phone camera to make different kinds of screenshots, which was fun even if I didn't make use of the feature.

This was a relaxing sort of game, which I could see kids as well as casual gamers enjoying. Catching photos of some of the birds can be a patience game, but it's honestly a nice way to spend hours with no pressing time needs or anything else. Talking to resident NPCs repeatedly can give you small extra little quests, and any animals you didn't catch before ending the week timeline of the game you can find on the last day of your trip, no pressure.

No high stakes or anything, but just fun and genuine exploration, and the message of what we can do as people whatever our ages to help protect the natural environment and animals we share space with on this planet. Overall I recommend this game as a relaxing and sweet experience, with so many seagulls. So many gulls. There was definite love that went into making the game, and you can tell!

This was a fun little find and search with really adorable backdrops the cats are hidden within. Great for a short, calm foray into kitty hunting! Very festive drawings and the jam it jumps into after they're all found is festive and fun too!

This was a short and enjoyable hidden kitty game, with a few that left me hunting through all the details to find the cats in the end. The colors were fun, and the whole thing was a nice festive dip while likewise being an overall relaxing half hour or so playing.

A short little story examining some themes of love and loss. Had some minor grammatical issues, but was a coherent enough read. The characters didn't feel too deep, but had enough to get a sense for each one, minus the protagonist, who is more a window into things than anything else.

Recommended when on sale.

While the worlds were lovely to visit, the puzzles and navigation were at times confusing or unpleasantly frustrating: the plot didn't make a great deal of sense when it came to current events, and had some interesting back-fill of history for characters. I didn't find trying to solve the puzzles in this installation to be worth the frustration, and consulted hint-guides at various points, but I did still enjoy the environments.

I'd recommend this for completionists for the Myst franchise or those who enjoy the environments of Myst, and not so much for others. Look to the remastered version of Myst or Riven and the like for the sake of more coherent game and puzzle play.

An enjoyable timesink of a Match Three game with its own twist. Playing on relaxed makes it more about the matching and going for full level completes, though I had a few times where I accidentally ended levels before clearing the full map.

+ Amusing dialogue between the villagers as the village is built up again
+ Additional puzzles within levels to solve to keep things interesting
+ Soothing gameplay and enjoyable music while playing

- Lack of level saving, gotta get through them to keep progress
- Can accidentally finish levels before completing all secondary tasks
- Cannot freely scroll around the map

A really cute, meditative hidden object game. Had fun finding all the cats, was a nice way to pass part of an afternoon. Some of the cats are a little more difficult to spot at first pass than others, but all the scenes were enjoyable, and I played through twice for the fun of it.

While I find other installments in the Myst game series more fun, this still had some lovely visuals and concepts for the worlds you engage with, and the puzzles were at time even pretty to solve (I enjoyed the symbol one at the end). Reflects its age in gameplay, but the graphics are still pretty smart, and things are pretty--overall the worlds don't feel quite as intricate as in earlier games, but this was a more narrow, focussed game and story. Not sure I felt much true sympathy with the main antagonist, but you can understand how his situation withered his sanity over time.
