It's fantastic. You don't have to be serious to play this game and you don't have to spend money. But if you are serious or want to spend money? You can do that too. The updates to gameplay since 5 years ago when I first played it are fantastic.

The game is incredibly calming, but I became too busy to even think of video games and all my plants died. Don't do that and you're golden.
