Early Access Review
Fantastic game!! I've been looking for a game to scratch my 6DOF itch for quite some time now, and this does the trick!!

This has all the things you'd come to expect from a classic 6DOF shooter, with the addition of procedurally generated levels with different objectives and modifiers which allow for pretty much infinite replayability.

The controls are very slick and if you're used to playing 6DOF shooters you'll feel right at home, and usually when a game like this tries to add some sort of inventory management, all of the additional inventory management controls can feel really overwhelming and cumbersome, especially if you're a keyboard pilot like I am, but I didn't seem to run into that issue with this game, it's all very straightforward.

Combat is extremely satisfying, plenty of different primary and secondary weapons to choose from with a lot of classic archetypes similar to ones you'd see in Descent or Forsaken, but one of my favorite weapons which I found to be really creative, especially when presented within the "Rougelite" format of the game, is the Pillager missile, which pretty much does what it says on the tin and allows you to strip weapons/shields/ect from enemies. Speaking of the enemies, I found the enemies to be really creative and some are really challenging, most of them fire a LOT of projectiles, which I am personally a huge fan of, but you never feel outgunned since you have an arsenal to match.

I like the direction the procedural generation of the levels is going, some levels require you to activate switches to expose a wall or deactivate a forcefield to progress, and there's plenty of secrets to find, which get more and more rewarding to find as the levels get larger and more challenging the deeper you get into a run. Aesthetically, the levels arent anything to write home about, but personally, the game is fun enough that they don't need to be. The only thing I would really request an improvement on is that some doors in some biomes look indistinguishable from the rest of the level's textures and you really can't tell you missed a door until you pull up the automap. (or maybe I'm just blind) Aside from that, one thing that I found to be a pleasant surprise, however, is the addition of underwater areas, which set a different pace and add additional challenge by applying water physics to your ship and projectiles. Wrapping it all up though, is the dynamic soundtrack, I did find it to be super fitting and enjoyable to listen to.

Overall, even as an early access title, this is an exciting addition to the 6DOF genre, and I'm really interested to see how the project progresses!! It really deserves some more recognition!!
