I'm just glad that they simply polished the game a little bit and improved it's compatibility. System Shock 2 remains one of the greatest narrative games of all time and is well worth the time to get into.

Holy unannounced surprise release Batman! I don't think I've ever bought a game so fast after seeing it's name for the first time. If you liked West of Loathing, you can be rest assured you'll also enjoy Shadows Over Loathing. The same sense of humour is there and the gameplay elements you grew to enjoy are still there with just the right amount of tweaks to keep it fresh without losing it's tried and true identity. Worth every penny.

Having played the game during it's horrendous launch, Cyberpunk 2077 seems to have gained at least somewhat of a happy ending for itself. It still has it's share of jank and minor nuisances, but nothing deal-breaking anymore. As it is, the game is very fun and enthralling, although obviously far from what the pre-hype would've led one to believe. So if you can put all the pre-launch hype behind you, or better yet missed it all, I'm sure you can wholeheartedly enjoy the world of Cyberpunk.

My first playthrough took me 8 hours (as seen on gametime at time of review) and it was an enthralling 8 hours at that. It was hard to put down and had me wondering what twists and turns awaited me along every decision. A great political drama experience for sure.

Early Access Review
You'd think that losing hours of progress with a character due to an unnecessary aggressive move ending in being eaten by a horde of zombies would leave the player immoralized. Not so. Watch me start over and do it once again. And again. And again.

Just editing to state that the game is still awesome.

Call of Duty: WWII gets a "conditional" thumbs up from me. I feel it has gotten an unfairly bad rep in some circles. I mean, it's not fantastic, but the basic Call of Duty multiplayer gameplay loop is there, just as satisfying as ever, and the single player campaign is fine, doing what's expected of a CoD campaign. I have enjoyed my time with both. Zombies never was my thing in earlier titles and as such I'm skipping it here as well. I do have my fair share of gripes with the game, hence the "conditional" thumbs up, so here's what I'd keep in mind:

The loadout system has gotten more convoluted than it needs to be with different divisions having their own sets of unlockable cosmetics, perks working differently than before and everything from weapons to said divisions having their own XP bars to level up to unlock even more perks and advantages. The latter part feels especially unfair to those just starting in the game, since in addition to having weapons equipped with full attachments, those having played for longer essentially have several extra perks in their loadout with their fully leveled up divisions.

Oh, the cosmetics... I just wish there was some sort of a filter to hide anything that's still locked. Finding the new unlocks from your latest supply drop opening spree is a chore, and even that is putting it lightly.

At this point in time, WWII is definitely not worth the full price, honestly not even half-price. But if there ever is an even better deal on the game somewhere and you like CoD campaigns, I'd grab it. The multiplayer suite also seems to have a rather loyal playerbase to it, so you shouldn't have too many problems finding games to join.
