Toren is a fantastic game that falls short of delivering what it could be.

What this game does bring to the table is a memorable story and some solid gameplay. It doesn't try to be much deeper than it is while still leaving some thinking up to player. Now there are some issues with the platforming as the terrain can be a little buggy as you can clip with some objects and animations get jumbled up. This doesn't happen very often and chances are it won't happen more than once for a given area. There are a few areas that can be a little frustrating when fighting a specific enemy however this is only if you're pushing a given timeframe.

The art and enviornment really are fantastic as you do feel immersed in your adventure as you climb the tower. However how great things look drawbacks are that some models seem slightly out of place as well as the character not being full textured under the clothing so you can see inside the model. The music is fitting of the mood and adds plenty of character and flavor as you make your way up the tower.

Despite severely lacking a loving polish, this game does give a good experience for the time you spend with it.

To experience the entirety of the game it will only take you about two hours and you can pickup every achievement on the way there as well.
