Having just hit 100% completion, I wanted to leave some thoughts about a game I absolutely loved playing!

Being new to the AC franchise, and having recently just finished Elden Ring, it was a pretty big learning curve getting used to the "omni-directional" combat. It was especially tough since I decided to use mouse and keyboard. After tweaking my keybinds exactly how I wanted, it felt super easy to maneuver and manipulate my AC, except for maybe tank legs, but I think that's a skill issue on my part.

The bosses are definitely tough, but all i can say is STAGGER. My thought process for most bosses was how do I stagger as fast as possible, then do it again super fast (I'm looking at you chain guns and high impact shoulder parts). I do think though with the mouse I was able to track onto certain bosses much better than the controller gameplay I see online.

I love being able to test out my AC and adjust it on the fly in the test room, and would definitely recommend taking the extra time to just see how your AC feels before heading out on mission. I found learning the detail screen mechanics to be fun through a combination of contextual help and trial and error in the room.

The one thing I'm sad about was that once I had "solved" how I wanted to approach the game, I was able to just brute force my way through a majority of the campaign and it ended up feeling quite short and slightly repetitive. I was hoping for more alternate missions, cool secrets, and more interesting story beats. I was even hoping for some callbacks to older AC games that I wouldn't really understand, but maybe I've just missed them. New Game++ story is definitely a banger and I'm hungry for more of that though. I managed to wrap up everything in about 50 hrs, cause during replays some missions are just hit the objective and just move on.

The aesthetic, the soundtrack, sound design and the art direction are just superb and definitely captured my imagination; I'm just amped up for more mecha games and anime! I also really enjoyed painting and naming my ACs, even if it was super basic, and I didn't spend any time in the decal and emblem maker, but shout out to all you talented people making crazy cool stuff.

Thanks for listening to me ramble, but I would definitely recommend AC 6, and I think Fromsoft made a great game to reintroduce us to an awesome genre and franchise!

In my opinion, one of the best FPS games to ever exist. Although the story can be cheesy at best, the gameplay more than makes up for it. A truly nerve-wracking atmosphere combined with unmatched A.I. sets up for awesome moments, and the Slow-motion feature still works very well even with the older graphics. There are moments where the game's age can bog it down, but bar that it still is a great game.

If you've played FEAR 3 and you didn't enjoy it, at least give the original a chance.

One can only hope for an HD remake!
