This game is certainly not for everyone, but because it's free, I'd suggest you check it out. You basically explore a weird maze, a mix of vaporwave aesthetic and weirdcore/liminal space aesthetic. It's a calming game, but one that makes the player feel a little uneasy. It feels a lot like Earthbound, but the humor is now surreal and confusing. Definitely worth a look, and I will play it to completion, but I don't see myself coming back to it once I do complete it.

I first played this game on the alpha release on itch.io. i remembered liking this game. when i saw this came to steam, i had to buy it. i didn't remember what it was about this game that i liked, but boy did i like it again, and of course, now i remember what it was i liked. this game has controls that feel like those of a platformer like celeste. you have a dash, which renders you invulnerable, an infinite slide across the ground for moving faster, a stop which can launch enemies in the air or even kill them, and the ability to wall jump 3 times before hitting the ground. this allows for insanely in-depth movement that feels like second nature after 10 minutes with the game. the doom-like gameplay encourages the player to constantly move and take advantage of their moveset.
Blood refuels the player's health, which encourages close-quarter combat. The combat in this game is brutal and edgy as ♥♥♥♥. blood flies everywhere, covering the walls and floor, but all this blood doesn't replenish you. it has to have come from an enemy not even a second ago. if there were intestines, this would feel like a brutal doom for quake.
Most important to the combat is the weapons, and these feel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome to use. i haven't gotten all the weapons yet, but i'll talk about the ones i have. you start with a pistol that feels kind of gimped, but it's not a terrible weapon. later, you get a shotgun, which already feels powerful enough that you think you could get through the whole game with it. the last weapon i have so far is the chaingun, and it feels like a weapon from brutal doom. all the weapons can be upgraded, and the upgrades add so much. i won't go into detail for them, but they rock.

TL;DR: This game is the best FPS i've played since doom: project brutality 3.0. please, for the love of god, get this game!

there is no way to turn down the graphics. if you don't have a high-end pc, don't even try it.
