I wasn’t particularly impressed with Blue Protocol: Star Resonance during its beta, but the game has made remarkable strides since then. Having played extensively since the global launch, I’m pleased to say it’s been an engaging and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The game strikes a refreshing balance between a cozy, adventure-driven atmosphere and the depth of a true MMO. Combat feels fluid and responsive, with just enough challenge to stay rewarding. The visuals are gorgeous—especially if you appreciate stylized, anime-inspired art—and the world feels vibrant and alive.

Whether you’re exploring solo or adventuring with friends, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance delivers a polished and surprisingly charming experience. If this style of game appeals to you, it’s well worth your time.

I’ve invested over 1,750 hours into Once Human, and while I’d love to say that time was rewarded with growth and evolution, the truth is far more disappointing. At its core, the game feels less like a living, breathing MMO and more like a glorified cash shop for NetEase.

Yes, the gunplay is solid and the world is undeniably beautiful. Visually, it's stunning—and there have been minor improvements since launch. But despite ongoing community pleas for meaningful new content, what we continue to receive is the same recycled material—occasionally dressed up with a slightly new mechanic, but still fundamentally the same.

A full third of the map remains inaccessible, even after a year of promises that we’d have complete access. As for story content? There’s been nothing new since the brief Way of Winter event, which came and went in a matter of weeks. What little content exists is interesting but far too short-lived, leaving players trapped in a repetitive grind loop for marginal gear upgrades that only let you repeat that same stale content slightly more efficiently.

Meanwhile, the cash shop is alive and well, regularly updated with new skins and loot crates—because of course it is. It's clear where the studio’s priorities lie.

I stuck with Once Human because it had enormous potential, and I genuinely wanted it to succeed. But after pouring in so much time (and more money than I care to admit), it’s disheartening to see a game with such promise turn a blind eye to its player base. At this point, it feels less like entertainment and more like exploitation—and I’m done funding that.

Dune Awakening: A Cautionary Tale of Wasted Potential

I came into Dune Awakening with high hopes, drawn in by the promise of a rich, PVE-friendly experience in the world of Arrakis. Unfortunately, what we were sold and what we received are galaxies apart.

Despite being marketed as a game that could be enjoyed solo or cooperatively without forced PVP, the reality is starkly different. PVE players are left with little to do beyond the initial storyline—which, while enjoyable, is over far too quickly. I finished the advertised ā€œ100 hoursā€ of content in under a week. After that, the game becomes a barren desert in more ways than one.

The contract system dries up, the Landsraad is little more than a hollow set piece, and meaningful progression hits a wall unless you're willing to throw yourself into the chaotic mess that is deep desert PVP. There, griefing guilds control high-tier resources with an iron grip, often aided by exploits and hacks. It's not a competitive environment—it’s a hostile one, designed more for frustration than fun.

Gathering becomes the only reliable activity left, though the materials available are inferior and largely useless when compared to what’s locked behind toxic PVP gates. It's turned into a glorified resource simulator. And with nearly 300 hours played, that realization stings.

Unless the developers shift focus—away from appeasing the small but vocal PVP elite and toward actually supporting the vast majority of players who prefer PVE—the game’s future looks bleak. There's a tremendous foundation here, but without major, immediate changes, I fear Dune Awakening will vanish into the dunes before it ever gets a chance to bloom.

I sincerely hope they turn it around. But for now, I’m done wandering the desert.

I've requested a refund several times now and Steam still refuses to refund. The game itself was "OK" but now they are requiring you to log into the Playstation network to even play the game. If you don't comply by the 30th of this month then you won't be able to play the game you were originally sold. I don't own a Playstation nor do I ever plan on buying one. I am a PC gamer and I don't want to be tied to a console account for something I bought as a PC game. This is NOT OK and Steam and the Devs need to be held accountable for refunding the money of people who feel the same as me.

Early Access Review
The game has potential, and I'm sure it's game-play will satisfy a lot of people. I don't enjoy PVP games and the PVE aspect of this is kinda bad at the moment. I really hate public PVE servers. I would rather have private servers or private lobbies where you can play co-op with friends. This is now MMO worthy on the PVE side. I'm sure that the dev's will expand on the game and they have a long way to go to get to something I would invest my time into. I found the gun-play, movement, character model, and animations; all kinda meh. I'll probably refund as I don't think it's worth $36 right now. However if you want to support the development and this kind of game is really what you enjoy then by all means pick it up. Just realize it is very much unpolished and pretty much just a tech demo and not a full game. If you are like me and prefer a PVE experience, then go play a Ghost Recon game...that's probably what I'll be doing.
