Not good enough... My review is based that I'm playing with the following specs:
- Intel i9 12900k, EVGA nVidia RTX 3800Ti, 32GB DDR4 3200, SSD nvme m.2 2TB.
- Trueborn difficulty, which can vary the game experience tremendously from other difficulties.

First the good ones:
- The DLC brings new map design that are better thought than the base game, which is welcomed.
- There are more Repair bays per section, thyank you for that.
- Elementals are a good addition to lancemates.

Now, what the reasons, at least for me, that the DLC does not make the game good enough to become a positive review:
-Game graphics is well under performing, having FPS fluctuations all over the place, why in 2025 a game does not pre-compile shaders? Lazyness? Who knows...
- Elementals brought all kinds of new bugs: They get stuck everywhere even in the small rivers / lakes found in the first level.
- Enemy mechs have a very weird AI, including that sometimes when they lock-on you until you're dead no matter what, even when all of your lancemates are focusing them and you do nothing.
- I really dislike that you lancemates miss shots at any distance very frequently, I'm talking like 100m or less, so it seems that the fights MUST depend on you ALWAYS. It's almost a miracle when they hit a headshot, including those lancemates that specializes on Sniper.
- Game crashed mid level once or twice, after +30min of gameplay. Something that never happened in the base game and it was extremely frustrated given that you MUST play almost perfectly at this difficulty.

I still don't like the 'Waves Challenges' type of design that you must feel choked at every single level, maybe the game is missing some sort of CheckPoint system, because it becomes a matter of, play the same level a couple of times, learn how to find the sweet spots where you can ambush and then apply cheesy strategies.

Last but not least, Piranha Games find some reliable QA team in all aspects: Game / Level design (although in this DLC level design improved big time for some levels), game performance, etc. I don't find that this games has so many technical issues like:
- When I open the game every time, it's a lottery, sometimes music cuts off, sometimes I press Continue to enter a level and voice sound cuts off, and some times when I press Continue it simply throws a Fatal Error, so basically you need to pray that the game will be stable each time.
- When applying different strategies there was one time at Turn the Tables mission, I did that mission in a way that I killed all enemy Mechs BEFORE passing the last mark, then when I actually passed it the game never finished the level, it was like the game was expecting I fought some Mechs.
- Some UX issues too, for example when you Alt-Tab too many times when editing a Mech loadout in a single session the keyboard stops responding.

I cannot start mission 'Assault Traffickers' (Mission 4 or 5 of the campaign), it gets stuck at the loading screen every single time, after reinstalling the game a couple of times (2 or 3) it finally got unstuck, I tried without luck:
- Restarting the game several times.
- Loading previous games and get to the same point of the story.
- Playing with a friend.

Talking about graphics, the game is very poorly optimized, I have an nVidia 3080 Ti and the game runs at 50-60 FPS with medium settings, and I experience video lag at random times, and the small transmission camera lag when someone is chatting is simply horrible, the game graphics do not justify the performance. I also have sound issues, specially on the steps when I walk into water that is really annoying.

Campaign levels are very poorly design, each level should be called 'Wave Challenges' instead. It gets ridiculous and each level push you to play in a guerrilla-style of gameplay where you isolate each enemy mech and try to kill it as fast as possible because you know there is going to be almost endless waves of mechs coming at you, it's almost impossible to try different strategies on Expert and not even mention Trueborn, this is not how you design challenging levels that are fun, just levels that are tedious and you need to know every inch of each level, it just doesn't make sense. I wonder who did these level designs that are even worse than MW5 Mercs?

And on top of all the AI of your lancemates are a piece of crap so you cannot rely on them to do the job on themselves, I can see AI bugs inherited from MW5 Mercs like those that lancemates get stuck at random obstacle places but new ones, like they keep firing at eliminated targets.

For more that I love this game and the MechWarrior series I'd rather let people know that the campaign of the game is simply not fun and at times unplayable, literally.

I tried to give this game a second, even a third opportunity to convince me to stick with it to the end and it is disappointing every single time. I tried to play it with a friend at launch day and the following days and it was almost unplayable with the lag and audio issues. Then, when I'm playing with the AI is utterly frustrating, so what is the challenge here? Overcome all the technical issues and ignore them to try to have the minimal enjoyable playability?

It currently bugs: drops, weapons, almost everything randomly making the game challenging towards to survive despite the technical issues, in general is very disappointing that a game, with so much potential and with a great fan base and lore, is delivered with this low quality / plagued with bugs and issues. Apparently is the current standard...

Definitely not worth it, at least for PC, the game mechanics are all about dashing, I never felt comfortable with the weapons system, so nope not for me

This game is an absolute failure in terms of graphics. I have an i9 12900 and a RTX 3800 Ti and the game renders at 72FPS average on Medium! Also it has some serious stuttering issues and video lag issues when strafing! Completely unplayable.

Some forums says to make hacky changes to the configuration, but I didn't buy a game to have issues out-of-the-box.

This game combat and movement sucks!
- The double stance ALWAYS strike twice, which is totally unintended!
- You have to press SHIFT every... single... time... to run

The game still feels unpolished and unfinished after all this time.

Above all, why does the game need to do a 'first time setup' every time the game starts, it's so annoying!!!

I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone!

I will recommend this game to play it for fun, and for the story, but AVOID it if you're planning to attempt the 100% achievements.

7.5/10 is my final score on this game.

THE GOOD:
* The game got spectacular graphics, landscape, you can be parkouring in open spaces all day long just admiring the view
* In my perspective, the story is pretty solid and unpredictable at times which gives a refreshing experience
* The learning curve is smooth, the game excels at teaching you new moves/attacks at a good pace while you're uncovering more about the story

THE BAD:
* I got dizzy, every time I took a long time in closed spaces, due to the blurry view when moving the camera
* For the most demanding challenges, it gets very frustrating how the player interacts with the obstacles
* Side quests gets monotonous -> boring after some time
* About the achievements: Several trophies are buggy, other are ridiculously long (some of them are better to do it through rubber banding)
