Game is absolutely terrible. Do not get this game unless it is free, in my opinion it is the third worst TT LEGO Game above Worlds and LEGO Movie 2. The lack of budget and time here really stings and really does a disgrace to both the Movie it's based on and the TV show said Movie was inspired by. Half of the small character select is padded out with TV characters and none of the characters get returning voice actors. LEGO has a really bad habit of trashing the identity of it's characters and this game is a prime example of that. The gameplay takes place in 8 hub worlds that also act as the levels as you progress through the story. Every hub area consists of the same repetitive tasks to attain Gold Bricks and Characters, and gets boring very fast. There is no risk/reward anywhere in the game, all it serves to be is a giant unenjoyable slog to grind through. LEGO needs to stop disrespecting it's properties and give TT the proper time and budget to create fully fleshed out games otherwise they're better not being made in the first place.

This game is essentially if the style of New Super Lucky's Tale and gameplay and feel of CTR: Nitro Fueled melded together. It's still in development but the handing and overall controls feel very responsive and smooth. If you have experience with CTR: Nitro Fueled it plays like that except the turning is a lot more loose but also sharp, the jumping is a lot more floaty too but the boosting times are more or less 1 to 1.

I recommend the game but for cons I would say that some things are not as telegraphed or simple as I feel they should be. My first experience with the items I have no idea what they do and even after launching them it's still a bit confusing. To add to that, some of the shortcuts make it a little hard to see where the track is coming out of them so taking them for the first time it wasn't uncommon to not see where I was going and jump off the map.

Excited to see where the game goes from here though!

Well worth the price, the controls are very responsive and all the abilities flow into each other well. The combat is a little underdeveloped in terms of number of moves but mastering movement helps immensely in platforming sections. Game is very beautiful and sounds great. Buy it.

Only buy this game if you have nostalgia for the old Indie game and are happy with bad achievements. The Xbox avatars have been replaced with generic soldiers and the game is very buggy on modern windows.
