Fun if you're not too intense on the outcome of fights. It's not for everyone, and if you are easily frustrated, might not be for you. If you just let it all go, have fun, and have friends, this is a lot of fun. I know a lot of people this wouldn't be good for, but I also know some who love it.

CDPR is good at making sure their games hit a good play spot. Witcher 3 came out and needed some work, but by blood and wine, was amazing. This game is no different. At launch, it was a buggy game, but they put in the work, and by Phantom Liberty, it was amazing. I think Witcher 4 may be the same way, but they will continue the work to make them good, at least as of this point. I would tell you to look at modern takes on the game post Phantom Liberty to see if you like it or not.

Early Access Review
I am enjoying this game as it is, and where it seems to be going. It's fun solo, and amazing with friends. It feels like it has a little bit from a few game types as one, and it works so far. I hope the progress on the game continues to improve the enjoyment. I know it's not a full game yet, and that's fine, and you may want to wait till there is more, but it's good if you like the concepts of it. Will want to see how it continues to grow before a must buy.

I love this game. I have been playing well past maxed out levels, all warbonds as of writing, and multiple weapons upto 25. I have a very good modern computer and can run any game I want without an issue, most of the time. I am sad to say this game is one of those I can't run right now.

The game was updated for the new bug content and to run on xbox. I am happy to have the new players and a rush of more people online. I am sad to see that those numbers are gone right now, and I am worried it may not return. The updates also added a bunch of problems with the helldivers on pc at least. There will be a time that the game will hard pause, for an unknown amount of time. Everything will freeze, and at times, it may return, but others, it will crash the game, and possibly even steam, and even worse, sometimes require a hard restart of the full computer. I love to play with my friends, or even randoms, and of all levels. I have played with a full squad of 150s, as well as 3 players under 20 and myself in the same day. I want to play the game, but I can't enjoy it when I have no idea when I may freeze up. If it wasn't as random as it was, and didn't risk having the game and possibly the computer crash, it would be fine. I know they are aware of the situation and I hope they are working to fix it. They put up a response about the size of the game on pc, but I am not worried about the install size, as much as if I can play the game without fear of it crashing on me. I have had it freeze in okay times, as well as the worst possible time. I had one where I was boarding the ship, and it paused, and it caused me to miss the ship and not get on, missing the samples I had.

Do I recommend the game, it's complicated. I was here for the first major downvote, and I am afraid this is probably the second one. I truly love and recommend the game, but only when it is working. I played though the first downvote with the weapons and balancing, because I love the game. I am not able to play though this one however. Just so we're clear, I have a very overkill system for this. I have a 16 core, 32 thread ryzen 5950x and a radeon 9070 xt with 64 gb of ram, and all ssd storage. I will return to the game in the future, assuming the issues are resolved, and l will even try it from time to time, but can I truly say the game is good right now, is a hard thing to say.

TLDR, I love the game, I love the comunity, and I love the exprense of the game. I don't love the buggy issues that are happening as of september and october so far of 2025. I have this as an upvote, but I could easily have it as a downvote as well right now. I hope this is fixed by the time you read this, but I won't know for sure.

I love this game. I was wanting to play it when I saw it was on PS, Now that I have it on pc, I am quite happy. I haven't had any issues with it and plan to play more of it.

I have played bg 1 and bg 2 before, and some of the other D&D games like neverwinter nights. I am so happy with the little easter eggs as well as the cameos they were able to do. I have had soo much fun with my different playthroughs, and have gotten well worth the value of the game.

To see what Larian did with a full rich game, with very minimal bugs, at a not blown out price, I want to point this out, because we need them to go back to closer to this for other developers. Yea, they may not be able to match it each time, but they should at least get closer then they have been.

The big downside to some is the turn based combat, but, when you think about a tabletop D&D game, it's also turn based. I think people need to realize that D&D is turn based, and that this should be as well. It's a great way for people to get into D&D and with 5e being very similar to the actual game, it's a lot of fun.

I like how you can make each battle a different way, depending on the cards you can grab. End up losing a lot of time without even realizing it

Can a game with this much hype live up to all your dreams? NO.

Fact is, with all the hype that fallout 4 had for it, there is no way it can live up to everyones dreams. There isn't a game out there that can live up to everyones dreams when it has as much of a hype train as Fallout 4 had.

That being said, this game does have everything you could want in it for a fallout game.

Multiple ways to play your char:Y

Multiplayer:N

Ok, so it doesn't have multiplayer, but it does have a ton of other things going for it. The graphics are not crazy high end, but as they were in skyrim, they started out lower, and then got the enhanced textures from a patch and the modding community, and fallout 4 will have the same. If you look at it a little closer though, you will see one thing on the graphics that most people overlook. The fact that the char models are not a step below the rest of the background. In a lot of games, the background and non interactiong items are beautiful. Crisp, clean, and just plain old eye-candy. But if you look at those games and their char models, the char models are lacking compaired to the background/non-interacting items. Yes, they are nice to look at but some parts of those games are lacking too. With fallout 4, the char models are not less than the rest of the items because the whole world is interactable.

The settlements on this game are amazing. Fans of zombie survival games where you want to build a base to defend, this has that type of building for your settlements, and they do come under attack. People can spend hours and several levels just building the settlements they want. You want to have a walled off city, you can do that, you want to have a floating fortress surrounded by auto guns for protection, that too. You can make it very complex or very simple, and you really don't even need to do any of it if you don't want to.

You can give your npcs items to use as well, and I'm not just talking about companions. Your settlers in your settlements can be equiped with the choise of armor, clothes, and weapons you want. If you put up your venders in the places, the npcs will even go and shop while you are away and you will earn extra bottlecaps from them shopping for the things they want. After a long day of hunting gouls and super mutants, come back to your settlement, drop off the hoarding junk you have stockpiled, and grab out some bottlecaps as a little bonus.

If you are like most of the gamers out there, with a rpg based game, you may,(probably) have an urge to loot everything, and almost everything you loot in Fallout 4, can be turned into something useful. Oh, look, I found an old bucket, I can take it, use it to put it on someones head, and when I am done with it, put it in my junk pile to use later to craft something useful like a turret.

The story isn't a huge way set on what you do, but there are some choises you make that change the outcome of things later. As well as being able to act a way to have your companions look at you in a different light. You like a set person to go out with you, you can do things to make them happy, want someoen to go with you that wont' care what you do, they have those ones as well. Want that person to back you up from a distance with some sniper support, give them a gun and set it as the one for them to use, and there ya go. Want them to come out in Power Armor? sure. You can do the story the way you want, but there are some, as there are in any game, set parts you will have to follow to find out as it goes, but if you don't want to join this group or that, you won't have to, but if you do, you can play those as far as you want still before the major factors are done and find out which path you wish to take.

Yes, it doesn't live up to what everyone was dreaming it would be, but how can it. One person may want the game to have a much more involved story to it, one may want the graphics to be up, one may want there to be multiplayer, which to that type, I wish there were too, lol. But the fact is, there is no way to make everyones game the way they want it to. It has a simplified versoin of all the things people love, building, survial, rpg, fps, stratagy, crafting, all into one package. Yes, it doesn't fit the best in a lot of those, but I can honestly say, with a game that has all of that, does any game do a better job at all of those in one? To my understanding, no, because I can't even say another game that has all the stuff fallout 4 has. For a game that is based off fallout, it's not gonna be a whole lot different from fallout 3, but the things it has different, are all an improvment, and the things that people are complaining about, are just because it didn't live up to what they were expecting it to be, But then again, with all the hype, it wouldnt' be able to. If this game had come out as a more unkown and without all the hype, like say, The Witcher 3 had, yes, The Witcher and The Witcher 2 were great, but The Witcher 3 didn't have nearly the hype that fallout 4 had. They got the game out as good as the could for the time they got it out, knowing it would still have bugs, and knowing that it would still be patched and tweeked. Games don't come out with all the bells and whistles anymore. With the age of high speed net, games can get patches and fixes. With all of the different types of systems out there, and all of the ranges of products, they will not be able to get all the bugs out. For a game with soo much hype, to come out and be this much fun, I can live with a bit of some time to get the mods and updates to the graphics and the bugs that my system puts into it.

If you can deal with a few bugs, and deal with the fact that it doesn't have the ability to make everyone completely happy, I think you would love this game. I know I do
