Sucks you in and keeps you hooked. Beautiful vistas, great animation and voice acting, smooth controls, challenging exploration/combat. Digital storytelling at it's finest.

So wide, so deep, plenty of room to swim.

First AAA story action shooter VR i've played bar none - true to the half-life experience and shows the real promise of immersive VR.

Very, very disappointing.

Take a highly popular game that encourages free-form, sandbox play, and use it only as a skin for a quicktime-driven, choose-your-own-adventure story, that has a clunky camera and user control system.

The story and level design show a high production value but the basic gameplay is severly lacking.

Locking the player into such a limited form of interacting with the world completely ignored what made minecraft interesting and fun. There isn't any mining, and the crafting is no better than a pick-a-box game or mashing a button while being a passive observer - Mine....Craft remember?

I have no idea how this one got past user testing - it never even came close to having the '5 mins of fun' factor. Finished it in two hours without trying hard, and only hung on in loyalty to the franchise.

I'll check the reviews before I consider buying the next Episode.
