Challenging enough to be interesting to play. As of March 14th, character and build options are a little limited, but I've been able to clear the final wave (120) on every character and nearly every build.

The only build that didn't really work out was when I went for all passive/aoe damage for a lark. Endgame requires you to build properly for clear speed and then prioritize either slowing your enemies enough to kill them before they can reach you or investing into damage resistance when boosting to give yourself enough tankiness to speedboost your way out of sudden swarms to begin kiting them.

There are no invincibility frames, neither "dodge roll" style or "on damage taken" and understanding how to deal with that fact is important. Letting yourself get trapped means you just die.

Things I think could be improved:

Rerolling levelup rewards takes too much of a very precious resource. You could give me only 3 rerolls for an entire run and I would actually use them more than I currently do.

I would like an option, on a limited basis, to remove specific levelup rewards from the pool when they are unwanted.

The SS Gold Bug ship, while very useful for players who have already been playing for a while, is a bit punishing for players who are completely new. This could be alleviated by making it spawn off-screen or only after 30 seconds to 1 minute have passed.

The Wolf Pack Ships upgrade path is a bit lackluster due to having two of it's trees dedicated to improving the survivability and respawn rate of the allied units. These two trees could likely be combined into one, with one replaced by a range improvement or something that allows them to protect the player.

I don't really have anything overly negative to note. There are clearly balance passes to still be done and more characters and weapons to be added, but I've had a solid near-twenty hours of fun out of it and am planning to check back again in a month or two.
