A friend and I used to play Victoria II for hours together, and we described it as the "world's most complex idle-clicker game". That remains just as true for Victoria 3. You're watching number go up, you're pressing buttons to make number go up faster, you're colonizing the global south to produce dyes so that your clothing factories can increase production, driving up the price of tools and causing shortages in your small arms supply, causing your armies to stall out just before capturing Vienna... It's good fun!

The game could have spent a few more months in the oven. It's a bit buggy, especially when comparing it to CK3 which was quite solid on release. But it's a very solid Paradox title, and I look forward to having it fleshed out over time.
