If you're interested in buying this I would recommend trying Project Reality first. It's a free standalone game based on the Battlefield 2 engine. PR has been around a long time, and although this isn't an exact copy of PR it boasts many improvements to the already solid game play foundation found in its predecessor. Although I don't know specifics I would imagine after they do an official release you can expect more content such as fixes and maps to roll out in the future.
