Very fun resource management type of game. With the PLETHORA of options in this genre, which I have tried many of them (and refunded several) "Going Medieval" I find myself reinstalling and playing a fresh run here and there.

The devs keep making small but noticeable and creative improvements, the gameplay is fun and engaging with enough micro-management (task assignment, wake/sleep schedules, technology/research, economy) to EASILY lose track of time (and not in a "this is so tedious" way but it is QUITE fun once you get the hang of it). Yet also automated enough to sit back and relax after things are queued and villagers are assigned.

Highly recommend this title in a sea of mediocre colony sims: this one stands out!! I also REALLY enjoy the tower defense-style skirmishes. Adds an element of purpose to the game, not necessarily "stress", but it makes your base design and military technology relevant to the game (unlike some other titles where army can feel like an afterthought).
