Two years later and the game is going strong, especially with the boost from the DLC this year. Masterpiece feels appropriate for this game (even if it has it's own flaws). If you ever wanted to get into souls-like games, this is definitely a good game to dive in on. Can't recommend enough!

An excellent "Zen" game. Really scratches the interior design itch. They've been steadily improving the assets and options in the game, fine tuning things with every expansion. It's come a long way and it was great to start with. Still worth buying at full price and especially on a discount.

This game is great but unfortunately it stopped working and there is no developer support coming to fix it. I'm told it works on the Microsoft store version but it sure won't work on Steam and I'm not holding my breath that Microsoft will lift a finger to fix this issue for the steam version. Will recommend again if and when this problem is fixed but cannot recommend a broken game :P

This game is fun and worth checking out on sale.
The game-play is solid, the art is visually appealing, the music is nice. The characters are nicely dynamic and most of the story is fun.
There's a lot of interesting build-up but the ending falls REALLY flat. Be prepared to be disappointed with the ending. I almost didn't recommend because of how disappointed I was.
That said, the developer might fix this by adding other less-disappointing endings in future. Until then maybe wait till it's on deep sale. Still worth checking out but DO NOT pay full price.

Katana Zero has a fantastic story, and tons of replay value. Worth it at full price, even better on sale.
The story is compelling and starts you in the middle of the action. The game-play and controls are easy to learn but more challenging to master. The difficulty scales appropriately and leaves the player hammering on the button for "just one more try" over and over again. For those seeking further challenge or practice honing their skills, the game offers a "Hard" mode and a "Speedrun" mode.
A great soundtrack that doesn't get old despite how many times you hear the tracks. They become familiar without becoming overly repetitive. The colourful pixel-art brings style, nostalgia, and charm.
While the cool glow-y effects and flashing colours didn't bother me, if you are sensitive to those sorts of things never fear, the game offers a "toned down" version with less flashing and glowing to allow more players to enjoy the game.

Stunning art with unique style. Compelling story and characters. Well worth picking up regardless of sale, but if it's on sale DEFINITELY pick it up. Recommended for anyone who likes point and click adventures with rich choice-driven story.

I'm one of those freaks that loves the settlement building in this. Mod community is alive and well and totally makes this game worth playing again and again.

This game brings me right back to my teenage years, standing at the arcade machine at my local games shop. This was a sweet taste of nostalgia combined with solid arcade adventure action. For anyone who played Golden Sword, or The Simpsons in the arcade this will bring you back too. Well worth a look!
