Fun and addicting game.

People seem to leave a lot of negative reviews because of the turrets and barricades added in the 1.7 patch. While I haven't played this game before the patch, I think they are a neat addition. The developers added another layer of strategy in this strategy game and it really isn't something to be upset over.

Everyone is saying this but this truly is a masterpiece of a game and possibly the best I have played in years.

Absolutely beautiful in every way. A very gripping and emotional story full of tragedy but also moments of joy and whimsy, accentuated by well written and very human characters. This world and its characters explores the human psyche extremely well in a very diverse way. The motion capture allows the characters to tell so much extra without uttering a word. The soundtrack is also one of the best in video games, period.

The gameplay is phenomenal with its well crafted combat system. It has a ton of build variety and the enemy attack patterns in combination with the quick time events keeps you engaged the entire time. Every character has unique mechanics and skills that asks you to play them differently which adds to the variety of combat. I see this game having a lot of replayability with the "post game" content and NG+, diving deeper into the combat system and min/maxing the crap out of it.

This game pushes the boundaries of what art and video games can be. I was completely enthralled by the experience and have grinded this game out as if my life depended on it. It was the only thing on my mind for several days. My emotional attachment to this world made the ending extremely, EXTREMELY touching (IYKYK)

If there is only one game you can buy this entire year, I suggest you buy Expedition 33 with 101% confidence.
