At the time of this writing, I have owned Far Cry 3 for a week and have logged almost 30 hours in the single player and co-op, and it is by far one of the most well made and addicting games. The gameplay is nothing groundbreaking mind you, but the way everything is put together makes for an oustanding experience. I wasn't a big fan of the first 2 installments, they just didn't grab me the way that this one has. My only gripe for the single player is looting and skinning animals can be a bit frustrating to line up with to execute the hold E option. Now the co-op is another story, AMAZING!!!! I haven't enjoyed a co-op feature like this in quite some time. Leveling up is relatively quick, getting the phone app in conjunction with the game allows for quicker decoding of items gained at the end of the missions. Basically it is a shooting gallery for up to four friends to go nuts! The mission style reminds me of L4D as there are chapters to each of the missions. During your mission there are some competitive sections such as racing quads to deliver bombs and who can kill the most with a sniper rifle to break up the pace a little bit which I found fun. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a captivating experience in a LARGE world that isn't as overwhelming as some, and doesn't skimp like others.
