Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is what happens when Final Fantasy/Persona vacations in Paris, paints a masterpiece, and punches you in the feelings.

Visuals - Like walking through a dream painted in oil and sorrow. Stunning.
Music - Still stuck in my head. Dim dam.....
Story - Every twist hit like a poetic punch to the chest. I was not ready.
Combat - Real-time parries in a turn-based game? Absolute genius.
More please - Sequel? DLC? I'll take a novel or a stage play.

A French fantasy heartbreak machine. GOTY-level. Play it, support the devs, and prepare to feel things.

FFXV feels like an MMO with a bad case of identity crisis. Side quests? Fetch this, kill that, and wonder why you’re still playing. It’s my first Final Fantasy, and I deeply regret it. Hoping FFVII Remake and XVI prove this isn’t what the series is about.

The plot is confusing and weird—like someone threw darts at a storyboard and said, 'Yeah, that works.' The combat is alright—the only mildly interesting part—but even that gets stale. The characters are flatter than roadkill, and the world is as empty as their personalities. Oh, and in the last third of the game, the open world just packs up and leaves.

If this is your first Final Fantasy, run. Don’t let this game convince you the whole series is a disaster. 5/10, skip this strange, sad fantasy.

This was my first Persona game, and wow—what a ride:

I spent 100+ hours living my best life as a Japanese anime high schooler, and I regret absolutely nothing. If you’ve never played a Persona game, do yourself a favor and give this masterpiece a shot. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

Honestly? The game is boring. Even in co-op, where things are usually more fun, it gets old really fast. The guns are a big letdown. It’s Borderlands, but the weapons and gun play just aren’t as cool or interesting as you’d expect.
By the last third of the game, we were just rushing through the main quest to finish it. We didn’t care about side quests anymore, and the game just stopped being fun.
In short: cool idea, but the execution is disappointing.
