10/10 would pursue Lu Bu and date his girl, Diaochan, again.

TLDR: This is it. This is the DW game that everyone always dream off. A "good" open world combined with a solid usual battle stage design from DW8 and below.

If you look at the price, it's a full AAA price but it's well justify that. Let me explain.

Nice things

It's an Elden Ring but with more Lu Bu and Guan Yu's beard.
It's an open world. A good open world, forget DW9, this is the true open world. Well maybe not that open since you still have to follow the Romance of Three Kingdoms story. You can walk around the world map, choose to go into battle or a small skirmish. You can also pick which faction you want to ally to from your action.

No longer a stage based game. A good way to learn RTK story
This DW is vastly different from previous DW (not counting 9...). The previous one you have to choose the faction then you play the story of those faction. Each battle is just its own stage with a little cutscene in between. Not DW Origin. In this one, you have a world map where you can see exactly where the battle take place also all other faction are on the same timeline. The game inform you of what change, although just a short text, but it's way better at learning the story of RTK. I recommend you to have a couple of images of map during that period open and reference to it when you play. It really help with the immersion.

There're a looooot of cutscene
They really double down on making sure you know the RTK story. It's full on JRPG amount of cutscene now. Character animation might be a bit stiff but you'll get used to it. The character will mention lots of place's name and what happen there, so having the real map open as a reference really boost the immersion.

The battle is the same as all other good DW game
It has the open world but when you go into battle, it's the same as DW8 and below. It's its own stage with actual mechanic and difficulty. Go play the demo if you want to see it, that's what you get when you depart to battle from the world map. It's the best one in terms of combat play, fluid and enjoyable.

OMG THE SOUND DESIGN
They really done an excellent job doing the sound design for this game. The battle has sense of scale and grand to it. You feel like you're in an actual battlefield with 2 massive armies crashing with each other. It's really good, it's loud when it should and quiet when it should. It's like you're watching a movie. It really set the stage. Also turn on controller vibration. They really put effort in that to let you feel every catapult shot land.

Breaking out of you being an officer in RTK was really the best choice
You no longer played as anyone inside the story of RTK. Instead you're your own character with your own lore. This make the game more open and more freedom, since it's no longer has to stick with the RTK story. This also enable you to have character development, both your own and with the officer. Speaking of which...

You can now "date" Lu Bu and Diaochan. And be asked to "spent the night" with officers.
Yeah.... that... The game has bond system.... Although it's just a cutscene... but it's.... giving me a headache. I'm a guy being ask by a 'beautiful face' male officers to spend the night with them.... is not really on a list for me lol. Also Gan Ning now has Nips and he's hot. A lot of the guy in this game is really hot(er) ngl.

Post game
After you finish 1 faction's story, you can "time travel" back to the pre-determined point and replay the story from there, letting you choose to ally with different faction. You keep your character stats and gear. So it took me 55 hrs to finish Shu, but the sub-sequence Wei and Wu will not be that long, since you don't have to go back to do the Yellow Turbans again.

This game has a cat
Your character also might be a cat. 10/10 GOTY.

Not so nice thing

The story is not quite to the end
Now, to be fair the game is really long. It took me 55 hrs to finished just a Shu story. However, the story ends at
