Doesn't have the charm of some of the more modern Battlefields like BF1, BF4 and BF3.

Each had unique elements and things that kept it interesting, like levelution, commander mode, HORSES and behemoths etc. This one just feels a bit soulless sadly. Enjoyed it for a few hours, but it wore off quickly. Will probably jump on again once a gold edition upgrade with all of the maps are out.

Early Access Review
A lot of work to do but very enjoyable and playable so far! Reasonably well optimised. There are a few server and graphic issues but I am sure these will all be fixed up in the coming weeks.

EDIT: Now that I have finished the game on Legendary, I can say that the story and campaign is fantastic. Gameplay is very enjoyable and even though my game wanted to crash every 50 minutes or so, I really do appreciate the work the storytellers and scriptwriters put into this game. While I really enjoy the open world, I feel that it is something to be tackled after the main story or included more into the main story. I honestly would just went from point-to-point to complete the main story because when I started exploring I lost track of the story.

Review:

While the multiplayer in this game leaves much to be desired, the campaign shines out.

Story:

Compelling, well put-together and flows well when you play main missions. The problem with open world games is that the main story can feel so disjointed after exploring the world and doing sidequests. This game does not escape that. I recommend completing main missions and doing sidequests after.

Gameplay:

Smooth, enjoyable and feels like Halo with extra maneuverability. The sprinting and grapple hook work well with the open-world setting and add to the experience of this game.

Environment/ grpahics:

Well designed with many throwback feelings to Halo 1 and 3. Its a new spin on Halo while maintaining the feel that you got from Bungie's Halo games. Bit disappointing there are no areas that are made of different biomes such as desert or jungle. The foresty/ Forerunner setting gets a bit old.

Overall:

Well worth your money. A good addition to the Halo franchise, much better than 5.

Another fantastic addition to the Tomb Raider franchise.

The series is at the point where 'you don't fix it if it ain't broke'. Almost identical mechanics to the previous game, but sporting enough changes to content and scenery that it works well. It really feels like another adventure that you want to keep diving deeper into.

What I enjoy most about this game compared to its two predecessors is that it is relatively historically accurate, so you get to learn a decent amount about Mesoamerican cultures and societies, which I really love.

- Story is compelling
- Historically accurate, so you can learn about Mesoamerican societies as you play
- Characters are somewhat loveable but side characters can be a bit bland
- The scenery is AMAZING

The first half of this game was excellent, and I would have considered it the best Metro game in the series. Unfortunately, the level 'The Taiga' was one of the worst levels in any game I have ever played. Trying to do my run through in Ranger Hardcore, but I have now spent 6 hours trying to do a stealth/ no kill run through of what should be a 5 minute section of the level. Taking a look at YouTube and Reddit, this seems to be the major letdown for most players who want to play on Ranger Hardcore.

Following from previous levels, there will be a concequence for my crew if I do not succeed in doing this stealthily.

Bugs include:
- Getting killed around corners
- Ridiculous ai detection range at night
- Unable to knock out enemy in close proximity 50% of the time, meaning they alert and instantly kill you
- Steam tabs in when you press either shift or tab separately every so often

TLDR: The Taiga level in the game is so buggy and badly designed that it unfortunately ruined the entire game for me, which was otherwise extremely fun. If you buy this DO NOT play it on Ranger Hardcore because this level ruins the immersion and enjoyment of the game.

For me, this is the best in the Scri-Fi horror genere to date. Well done Frictional on making another astounding game. From Black Plague to Dark Descent I have enjoyed your work, but this has been such a great leap foward. The rich and deep story, and the two characters whos interactions add a much needed touch to the dark game, and the ending that fixed what Dark Descent couldnt get right made this game near perfect. Having choices that may not neccessarily have effected the game but made you think later on about them nonetheless was very well done. Some more character development in the end scene would have been nice, not making it feel so rushed but overall its a 9/10 for me. Absolutely astounding.

I had to hook up to an iv drip halfway through, severe dehydration from crying like a little ♥♥♥♥♥.

Highly recommend, the first episode can be a bit of a grind, but from there it picks up ridiculously in terms of character development and its incredibly easy to get attached to the main characters.
Graphicss style is similar in ways to telltale but i personally think its a bit nicer on the eyes and works really well for the relaxed style of gameplay.
Space this game out - you will dearly miss everyone once its over.
