Edit now that ive finished the game (50+ hours):

I never played the previous title and I never really had any intention of following the story of lore when buying this game... I was genuinely upset when the game ended. This was one of the most immersive gaming experiences I've had in a long time. The main character felt realistic with every choice you made and they always had an impact. The NPCs and dialogue also add an immense amount of life to a land that was mostly trees and hills during this period. HOWEVER, the game is gorgeous no matter where you go (even underground). I was stunned when i left the tiny huts and villages to find castles and cities. The skills aspect of the game works very well, and forces you to put in effort everywhere if you want to get by in every situation. The combat also evolves as the story progresses. I wont spoil too much but it is both challenging and rewarding, and your enemies can be wherever you choose.

I would say this games biggest con is its difficulty. There are no settings to make this game easier for you. Even saving your game will be a massive b**** at the beginning. If you dont have a plan you'll probably die, and you can lose hours of progress if you arent careful.

At the end of the day I'm still giving this game 10/10 because I couldnt really ask for more in a game

I would not listen to the negative comments. if you liked the original you will more than likely enjoy this as well
