According to popular opinion: "Heaven is for good people."
Are you a good person?

Here are 4/10 of God's famed 'Ten Commandments' to measure how 'good' you are.
-Thou shalt not lie (If you've told even one, someone could call you a 'liar'.)
-Thou shalt not steal (It doesn't matter if it was small or just one thing, we're called 'thieves'.)
-Thou shalt not lust (God looks at the heart, if those thoughts are directed to someone who isn't your wife, you are an 'adulterer' at heart.)
-Thou shalt not murder (If you've just absolutely hated someone, the bible says you've committed murder in your heart.)

This isn't the truth you want to hear, but it is the truth you need to hear:

Heaven stops being heaven when it is filled with liars and thieves. Ordinary people like you and me. Can't give a bunch of people harps, stick 'em in the clouds and expect everyone to get along.
Moreover if God is good and righteous himself, he should be judging the murderers, the thieves, the liars. Not just the big names, everyone should get what they deserve- and that means you and me. Judged for every bad thing we've ever done.
God isn't taking bribes either, we can't ask a real judge to let us go because we've turned a new leaf, or we're really 'good' people, we're going to be judged for each crime- those sins- individually like justice demands.

Here's the good news: God is both justice, and love - and because God loves you, he did the unthinkable:

-God came down from heaven
-Emptied himself in humility to become a man (Jesus Christ)
-Lived the perfect life we failed to despite being despised and destitute.
-Finally he suffered and paid the price for your crimes on the cross.
"No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself..." John 10:18 (Jesus)
Then with his final breath he said:
"It is finished." -Jesus' last words. (John 19:30)

Like paying a speeding ticket for someone found guilty in court- He lived the perfect life we didn't and paid for all the messed up stuff you've done so that you don't have to. It's free for anyone who turns away from the wicked stuff they're doing.

You can't turn away from sin on your own though, our hearts are evil and want to do evil. So in addition, God is offering to change your sin-loving heart. 'Start a work' in you that when finished will allow you to be in heaven and not pollute the entire concept just by being there with your wicked human heart.

All you have to do is take the second chance, the famed 'second birth' he's offering you.
Which means 'repent', AKA turn from your wickedness and try to stop being the sinner that you are-
Then trust in Jesus to help you the rest of the way, putting your faith in what Jesus has done to save you, not yourself. Like you'd trust a parachute to save you from falling to your death.
