I have never written a steam review, but I had to come here and say I loved this game. At first I was expecting this just to be a survival game, but there was more emphasis on adventure then I had expected. The game nudges you to explore without forcing you too. I was hoping for a bit more story as they gave me a taste of intrigue with some of the messages, but ultimately it fell kind of flat. Not to say they won't add more in the future and I should stress that I did thoroughly enjoy what was there. I was just hoping for more. The crafting progression all felt very natural. Crafting feels satisfying and upgrades really feel just like that...upgrades. 90%of the upgrades were "hell yeah" moments. I think some would like crafting (for their base specifically) to be more granular, I.E. build the walls, the floors, the roof. I personally enjoyed the modular style of building more though, The focus on crafting in this game is really to progress your terraformation, and while building intricate bases may be cool, I am glad they gave me cool looking modules to use instead. This game is still in alpha so I am sure there is more to come but so far I have cleared most all of the current content. Of course if I wanted to go back and perfect my base and things of that nature, I could so, so really is what you make it. For the price I can not stress how worth this game is. I can't wait to see what happens next with Planet Crafter!
