So I got this as part of the humble bundle ages ago and recently I've actually had the time to start playing it. I don't generally review things but hey lets go. I'm having a love hate relationship with this game.

I love it because I love the almost documentary like style of cut-scenes, I love this time period as my dad practically raised me on this era of music and the like And the story feels good, I like Lincoln as a character, I like the supporting cast like Donovan he's great, the exact kind of guy I'd want if I was gonna take over a city. The city looks pretty nice graphics are good all that jazz Grade A. That's not my problem.

The reason why I have problems with this game, its the controls. Lincoln's character controls are manageable but he feels clunky at times, which I can live with cos he's a big muscled army beefcake that's shredded. So finding him a bit awkward in a small space, or knocking something over or him feeling like you're driving a tank fair enough. Driving, Oh my gods the driving. I play keyboard and I haven't tried it with a controller because I'm awful with them but it feels like you're driving a rock, heavy vehicles and bad handling on every car, I've tested most of them by stealing different ones to find a good one then being chased by police so I got a good handling workout, breaking just makes you skid all over the place and the slow-mo only helps so much. Its really a shame because I'd love to cruise around looking at the city in a beautiful recreation of classic cars.

So here's my final take. You want a really nice looking period piece game of the Vietnam era with all the music and themes to go with it some of the attention to detail is really nice, great, go for it. If you want a game where you can drive easily, and cruise or speed around escaping from cops in high speed pursuits maybe stick to some other games (my game has ended up being stealth based because of this, Ninja Lincoln ftw!)
