This game definitely caught me by surprise. I have to admit, at first I thought the characters and setting seemed kinda juvenile. You're a total gajin weeb who travels to Japan on a foreign exchange program, and there you meet a tomboy, a tsundere, and the traditional beautiful and demure girl. I was like "Pfft, is this something I read in middle school? I wonder what kinda kooky shonen hijinx will happen this time..."

But boy was I wrong.

I don't even know where to begin my praise for this game. Each of the characters are so well developed that they transcend their archetypes and feel like actual people with their own hopes, dreams, motivations, fears, etc and I really cared for each of them. What started as a fun romp turned into an incredibly heartfelt story that tugged at my heartstrings. The three female leads are entirely voice acted and their sprite animations are engaging and dynamic. The art is beautiful, the music is lovely (I might even buy the soundtrack!), and the overall presentation is just so well done.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll definitely want to play through each route and feel all the feels. This game completely exceeded my expectations and is definitely one of my favourite VNs. I cannot recommend it enough.

(There better be a sequel!)
