Why did I get banned from PUBG 7 years ago?: Back then, I tried to mod the game the same way I did for Team Fortress 2 and PAYDAY 2, aiming to get better FPS since I was using a work laptop. The “mod” simply removed grass models.

I learned the hard way that competitive games don’t allow mods.

Now that ban is stuck there forever — which is fair. I’d be upset too if someone modified their client that lead to a tactical advantage.

At least I only had 3 hours in the game (you can even see it on my profile). Fun fact: even with the mod, I was still lagging so badly that I couldn’t get a single kill — I don’t even have one achievement ;-;, So yeah, I’m really not missing that game at all.
