Edit: Many of you are asking for clarification on this, so...
Some are responding as though I said that this slur is as inflammatory or hurtful as every other slur they can think of, but I did nothing to imply that. If I referred to aspirin as a "pill" would you take similar umbrage and tell me it's ridiculous to imply that it's just as dangerous or effective as Oxycodone? That strikes me as ridiculous.
